Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I revised my review from negative to positive, however, I still have some grievances. Many years ago, long before I had my PC and my laptop was out of commission, I played this game's demo on my Xbox 360 all the time. I played the introduction level and the official first level over and over again. I never played the first game and never looked into it so Sanctum 2 was my introduction to everything. I finished Sanctum 1, both of it's map packs, and the Christmas and Yogscave DLCs. The difference between Sanctum 1 and 2 is big. So many systems were changed, reworked, or entirely removed and replaced (or not at all), some varying from justified to unjustified. Starting with the overall performance of the game, this game's wack. This game auto-smooths the frames since it's Unreal Engine 3. The problem with this auto-smoothing is that every menu in this game is locked at 30fps and the actual game itself is capped at 60fps. I think the game tries to combat this by smoothing the frames like a transition between the 30fps and 60fps but it just hurts my eyes. I don't like the new tower system either. Playing through a few missions, there's a cap on the towers which is 15- WHAT?? Why is there a cap on towers?? I can't just "play Sandbox mode" either because it doesn't raise your rank either so you don't actually progress in the game and unlock new weapons, towers, and perks. Speaking of the weapons, I was profoundly disappointed when playing as the sniper robot guy. Being a sniper is my favorite class in most games. Something about the sniper in this game compared to Sanctum 1, even all the other games I've used sniper rifles, something is terribly wrong with the gun in this game. At first I was extremely annoyed at the removal of the weapon upgrade system - but at least your weapons don't fall into irrelevancy 2 waves in. The weapon upgrade system got replaced by perks, which is fine. However, the perks get more and more specific over time. It goes from a general perk like "Adds lightning bounce to your shot, that deals 50% of weapon damage to a nearby enemy", to extremely situational perk like "Damaging an enemy gives you a 5% movement speed boost for 7.5 seconds. Stacks up to 60 times." It's just disappointing to level up and get an ultra specific perk like that. The maps range from great to "meh", and there were one or two ones that I could truly say I hated to play on. Later on in the game, the game gives you WAY less control over the map and it forces you to use *their* route instead of your own. A minor thing that annoyed me was that the game automatically had me set so other people can join me, and because of that "always online" thing, I can't pause the game even if I set it to a single-player.

Are you kidding me? One of the greatest co-op tower defense FPS games ever made, and the HD remake looks and plays excellent on Steam. But make sure to buy it with a friend, as the community is pretty small now.
i unironically miss both simons
Great game. But I would advise to only do normal campaign or light survival. Feats of strength are just a source of endless frustration. There it goes from tower defense to "How many Focus turrets can I spam and what perks maximise my DPS?". Because nothing else will come even close to sufficiently fast kills to make most maps even remotely viable.
Yes it's still as good as it always was
Despite this game being old, this game is awesome. My friend convinced me to play it together and hey, this game is surely addicting!
Seems to run poorly on a RTX 3070, will sometimes ignore controller input when in menus, Mouse doesn't go off the game-screen even when windowed, Also, mods aren't allowed and/or don't exist. Will buy for Xbox 360 I guess.
This game is ruined by one stupid thing. Excessive view bobbing and no way to turn it off. This game is 10 years old now so they will probably never fix it. Just play the first game instead.

A fun Fps/ tower defense that improves on what the first one did. i do miss leveling up my weapons though Pros: -5 characters to choose (1 dlc) from each with their own pros and cons. -decent amount of perks, weapons and towers (some are dlc) -cool looking levels the details -a good soundtrack -unlike sanctum 1, enemies now can attack you and with more new enemies to break through your killzones Cons: -games kinda short -while having a good amount of stuff to choose and customize. in my opinion there shouldve been more towers/weapons to pick. -some towers and perks are underpowered -no sanctum 3 yet -some of character models haven't aged well. -game is kinda dead you'll find very few matches and to get a coop achievement you need to beat the last level with 4 people and you have a burning hate for this game's small playerbase because they will have a public lobby you can join but kick you anyway, just set it to friends only bozos 7/10 get it on sale with all the dlc i enjoy it a lot, the details they put in each of levels is cool, the secrets, mines and small lore bits, i wish you could prestige your level rank in this. Also keep in mind it does feel a bit more fps than tower defense i think is due to the tower cap but its a fun game WE NEED SANCTUM 3
