Samson returns to Tyndalston, a city that shaped him hard, where every fight is close and every escape is earned. He owes dangerous people more than he can pay, and they’re using his sister to force his hand. The clock is ticking. The only way out is through anyone who stands in his way.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Samson comes home to the worst streets of Tyndalston, a place that built him hard and never forgave him. Muscle, speed, and nerve decide who stays upright. Close-quarters fights, tight corners, and no room for hesitation. He learned violence before he learned mercy, and the city hasn’t forgotten. Every clash matters. Every hit is meant to break or be broken. You cut through alleys, rooftops, and backroom dens designed to keep you moving, not sightseeing. Tyndalston shapes how you fight, climb, corner, and vanish. It’s familiar ground, but never safe ground.
Cars are not set dressing. They’re blunt instruments. You rip through the outskirts and industrial wastelands in battered machines held together with scrap and stubbornness. Ram, drift, smash, or outthink whoever chases you. Nothing here is clean. Samson’s debt hangs over everything, and his sister is the pressure point his enemies squeeze. Time is short, and the bill keeps growing. This is a focused, brutal chapter in his story, built with intent, no excess, no padding. He didn’t return to entertain. He returned because this is the only place where he can fight his way out.

Your debt grows by the hour, and the people holding it squeeze harder every day. Every job, every dollar, every choice cuts a path forward or shuts it down. No do-overs. No safety net.
Action Point System: Spend your limited points on missions that matter. Once you commit, you live with the outcome.
Law Response: Your chaos dictates their pressure. Push too far and the city pushes back harder.
Daily Quota: Each morning hits you with a new number. Miss it and the interest spikes, making tomorrow worse.

You built this mess. You’re the only one who can carve through it. Up close or behind the wheel, you fight with whatever the city gives you.
Unlock Samson’s Potential: Build his strength in both brawling and weaponized driving.
Brawler Combat: Use momentum, terrain, and improvised tools to break your enemies fast.
Cars as Weapons: Chases turn into collisions, traps, and close-quarters destruction.
Skill Tree: 25+ upgrades to shape Samson into the fighter this place demands.

Tyndalston made you tough. It’s familiar, never forgiving, and always shifting with your actions.
Open World Districts: Move through hostile blocks, hidden corners, and the history that built Samson’s past.
City With a Pulse: Faces, factions, and streets change as you rise or fall.
Story That Hits Back: Uncover what broke Samson’s family and what it takes to fix it before time runs out.

RECOMMENDED with some caveats: 🌆 Wonderful Rust-Belt Grunge atmosphere 🗣️ Great voice-acting 🔍 Fun to explore ✊ Lots of punch ups Reasons to NOT BUY: 🔫 No gunplay at all ⛓️💥 Lack of polish: minor bugs, weird transitions, stuff clearly missing ☹️ Story starts off strong and then loses its way ⚖️ Main game-play loop isn't challenging, even on harder difficulties This game feels like it was made just for me. 😃 New-Hollywood noir in the Nineties Rust Belt? Sign me up! I'm glad this was a short, budget title, because it's bittersweet to be recommending this game only because it ends shortly after wearing out its welcome. If you're looking for GTA, this isn't it. If you're looking for Sopranos or Boondock Saints, this isn't it. If you're looking for the experience of driving around Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto or Buffalo during the rampant pump-and-dump gentrification era and you get to commit crimes while doing it, then this is your game. PROS: ➕ Gorgeous presentation. I cannot praise the art direction enough. Everything about it looks like 1990s Rust Belt. Glacial mud. Crumbling infrastructure. Hundred-year-old buildings with common walls revealed and covered in advertising. High-end district that's inaccessible by auto and laid out in overlapping courtyards. Culverts everywhere! (Not once did I get caught on world-geometry or fall through the world, and believe me, I tried. 😈) Your little part of town is cleverly cut off by the highways and skyways being built so the rest of the city can ignore you and yours. All the voice-acting is top notch; I never get tired of hearing Samson bark "Nope!", "Not good!" or "♥♥♥♥!", he sounds like he means it every time. ➕ Reasons to explore. There are "magazine" collectibles that increase your hit points and your driving ability. They also added "Points of Interest", where finding key places will give you some backstory and unlock upgrades; it was already fun to explore and they gave you more reason to. A big highlight are the random encounters on the street: random junkies, homeless, shakedowns, corrupt cops, etc. These events just show up randomly and you can either engage or don't. ➕ Performance adjustment options. It's UE5, so you can still run it on older computers. Has both in-game GUI and editable INI file. Still looks great even at lower options. ➕ No guns. There's rumors going around that the devs "ran out of time" for guns, but this would be a poor GTA gun clone if there were gunplay. The street-fighting aspect works much better, where a skilled player is rewarded for controlling the environment and for well-timed button presses. ➕ Game loop. There's a finite number of "action points" per day, and after each cycle, you must put a payment on your outstanding marker. Each time-of-day gives a random buff, such as "on-foot quests pay more money" or "cars take less damage". Also, some quests are locked to only certain times of day. The core idea that you must optimize your time to keep up with the payments is a fantastic idea. CONS ➖ Lack of polish. I had a "taxi" side-quest bug out on me where my passenger disappeared, and for the rest of the game, I couldn't do any more taxi missions, either side- or critical-path. There's an entire race track south of the city; you can't move the map cursor down there, and racing doesn't give you any money or XP (but see below). Shipping containers are bugged where the doors are often open before I even get there. The fighting system has shoving for environmental kills, but it's too easy to throw someone off center and they just miss it; there's supposed to be value in stunning someone with the environment, but it's much better to throw them into each other to make two stumble or to just finish the last guy off with fists. ➖ Lack of material. The random encounters were a highlight, but after a dozen or so, they just stop appearing. The random missions repeat themselves a lot, not just in context but also in location. There were some unique missions I never saw while other ones kept coming up again and again. ➖ Poor story. I know the devs were going for New-Hollywood 90s-noir. In interviews they cited "Serpico" as a primary inspiration. The actual story is more like a TV show, where our mains talk like good guys despite how they're clearly thugs. There's a made-up drug (because crack and meth are too real?) and we have to "get it off the streets", even though we're clearly trafficking in heroin, ourselves. A dialog option to "sucker punch" someone results in Samson breaking the guy's neck with his bare hands. At points-of-interest, Samson wistfully recalls how they disposed of people they'd killed or how he used to play here as a little kid; if he's supposed to be a inured, jaded jobber, then they didn't properly build up how he reacts to the horrors he witnesses near the end. ➖ Doesn't stick the landing. Gentrification hangs over the city like a cloud. The face of DeVries is plastered everywhere, and you get XP for vandalizing his sign-boards; this character never appears in the game nor does anyone ever talk about him. The critical-path plot moves through a human-trafficking ring with
organ-legging reselling
that would require international scope, going far beyond our little corrupt town; it makes no sense how it works, and it ruins all that New-Hollywood verisimilitude they were going for. (I'm supposed to believe in that but also how no one has a gun?) I signed on for a Rust-belt Sopranos coming to grips with how the times were changing; what I got was Blue Velvet by way of Cannon Films. Despite the top-notch voice-acting, even they can't save the non-climax of the critical-path ending. ➖ Poor replay value. Even with the randomized quests and the difficulty options, there's a clear path to optimization.
First, run over all the Crow gangs on the street with your car, and loot their $500 bags. Then, go to the back alleys that aren't accessible by car and beat up the rest. This can get you $1500 or more and that's before you even start quests for the day. Then go the race track but don't take a race mission; just run the laps and hit the signboards; they regenerate every day and are worth XP. Early in the game you'll level up fast.
I've already seen all the random encounters, and they don't actually give you any unique perks for playing them out. Watch the trailer. You'll either know you want this or you don't. Honestly, if you're wondering, "does it have X, where X isn't something I saw in the trailer?" … No, it doesn't. It's also missing Y and Q. But if you want a AA-release that looks different and can pleasantly surprise you sometimes, this is it. I will always remember my time in Tyndalson.

First game from this new studio. I have to say they did a great job and I understand the negative things ( clunky, buggy ) people have been saving but... you can tell the game is made with love. Such a cool atmospheric gritty game with alot of attention for detail. I love the time job system in this game. It's different then whatever I've played. At release the game was really really buggy and performance was bad the devs have been fixing the game and also adding stuff. This game is growing on me
Samson: Short Review
So I will keep this very short in order to save you guys some time reading through a novel of reasons why to either buy or not buy this game... I had some hopes but here we go...
The Good:
> Good concept overall > Decent voice acting > Collecting money to pay off debt while adding the element of losing money on death is also cool > Driving is fun at times and absolutely garbage on other occasions
The Bad:
> Bad animations > Graphical issues > Poor game mechanics > Combat is sluggish and janky (very bad for a combat focused game) > Driving is mechanically broken at times where vehicles either spawn out of nowhere or sink into the map becoming a concrete block that you run into. > NPC pathfinding is a joke. I had a "chase down person" mission where the NPC kept trying to drive passed a street lamp and bin, but couldn't get passed it because the pathfinding is broken? I don't know but he must have gone forwards and backwards so much that he totalled his own car as I just sat there watching him. > Story? Couldn't be f#@!ked because the facial animations break taking you out of the experience. > Music is practically non-existent. You will pass dudes rocking out to a stereo playing the same old song. > Fighting multiple enemies is hot garbage because you can't really lock on > Last complaint... And this has happened MULTIPLE times. During combat I would get hit by someone off screen, painkillers would bug out not allowing me to take them because maybe the game thinks I am full health? Whatever the case is I would then somehow die to poor combat mechanics making me lose money. Love the concept of losing money on death but hate when poor game mechanics is the root cause of my loss and not a skill issue to overcome.
Overall Score: 5/10
Might continue to get all the achievements because my certain brand of tism won't allow me to just stop. Or I might bin it and never touch it again. Who knows.
game looks fun overall but optimization just kills me, it ruined all my joy.
Terrible on steam deck! Its a stutterfest trying to drive(1-2 second pauses every 7 seconds). Even on super low settings. I read reviews before buying and thought it cant be that bad, but its worse. Even cheap on key site its not worth it.
The game had some potential, but the execution falls seriously short. Everything is broken in one way or another: driving, quests, fistfights, leveling, storytelling - everything is garbage. I wouldn’t buy it even at a steep discount because there’s simply nothing worth experiencing. The world is beautiful, but it’s small and shallow. The quests are extremely repetitive, and all the perks you get from leveling are useless and don’t meaningfully change the gameplay. Somehow, even the fistfights are broken and completely uninteresting. There’s nothing appealing about this game. Skip it.
First if all, don't let my review change your mind if you want try out this game. My refunds are extremely rare, but I decided to refund it. I did not play the full 2 hours window, just wanted to try the game and see where it stands and I will probably repurchase it in the future if it improves with future updates. Mechanics feel janky, that's probably everyone's nr 1 complain right now. You throw a punch and something breaks. Drop an item and it goes through the floor 🤣 Npcs get stuck more often than usual in other games. Maybe if the devs polished it a a bit I'll revisit it. Is it worth it at full price? No. On sale 16.70 euros? Still no. If it was polished yes at this price. I will give it a thumbs up, because I've seen bigger comebacks in the video game industry.
Played this game since the release and the Devs have fixed a lot since then and I hope they continue. This combat in the game is good once you get used to the controls not to mention the enemies now have cues that indicate when to parry their attacks. best thing to do is throw enemies into stuff. The driving is great because after 20 hours I experimented with the E brake and the drift tires and driving felt like a completely new game, wtf it became an arcade drift game and the controls felt good. I really like the idea of a open word beat em game with zero gunplay (except when he police shot you). The city is detailed for the 90s ungentrified city where graffiti is literally everywhere and there is a caprice classics on every corner.
A direção também me agrada bastante. O combate é predominantemente corpo a corpo. Em determinados confrontos, Samson enfrenta grupos enormes praticamente no braço e, considerando o realismo visual do jogo, algumas situações acabam parecendo pouco naturais. Ainda existem bugs.
