Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

I was planning on singing "Starman" after fully finishing the game, but I just couldn't get myself to do so and just cried. I love this game a lot...

One of the best games I think I've ever played. Sam & Max's most insane, emotional and reality breaking adventure ever! Sam and his partner, Max, the hyperkinetic rabbitty thingy must confront alien invasions, solve an over 100 year old mystery, stop a reanimated psychic Pharoah, survive the clone apocalypse and confront their deepest, darkest fears! The Telltale Trilogy has been given new life by the Skunkape Team, and Devil's Playhouse is no exception. Restored cut content, gorgeous visuals and nonstop laughs... the ending may even make you a little emotional. If you haven't played it yet, please do! It's a good price, a great game and you get the original version from 2010 completely free as a DLC!

There is a myriad of things I could say about this game and I haven't even finished it yet, but to summarize: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you like point and click games, this is one of the best! I loved the more recent Sam and Max games but would always manage to get sidetracked and restart them before completing the trilogy. I finally have had time to replay them and get to The Devil's Playhouse and you can tell the devs really figured out how to modernize and capture the old Sam and Max formula here. The remaster is visually amazing here too. Kudos to Skunkape

Я помню как где-то ещё в начальной школе мой одноклассник дал мне диск с третьим эпизодом. Тогда я ссался кипятком от радости, ведь это была моя первая полноценная компьютерная игра. И вот, придя домой со школы я попросил у дедушки его ноутбук. Он помог мне со скачиванием игры, и я наконец-то смог заценить сюжет о том как "У Макса похитили мозг!". Для меня это был просто пик, я не понимал что происходит, но мне очень нравился тот самый необычный нуарный пёс которым ты допрашиваешь таких же необычных подозреваемых. Когда же я дошёл до музея то игру осилить уже не смог, по итогу вернув диск своему однокласснику. И вот спустя десяток лет, я полностью поиграл в триквел. И если писать поверхностно, то это круче 2 сезона, но иногда хуже 1. По сути Девил Плейхаус это просто второй сезон с мистикой, однако геймплейно игра прям преобразилась. Больше каких-то интересных активностей и сложных головоломок. Местами даже слишком сложных. Новые персы тоже запоминаются, жаль старых вернули только в последнем эпизоде, и то не всех. Немного было обидно когда оказалось что вайб первой половины третьего эпизода один такой на всю игру. Ну а так по сути из всех игрулек про это безумное дуо эта будет наверное самой лучшей, да и кстати именно после неё Теллтейлы начнут делать более крупные проекты. Жаль что от этой студии Сэма и Макса мы больше никогда не увидим
