It's a different type of game showing a symbolic world of a soldier with war traumas. I actually liked it because the devs tried to make something different while still make a good game out of it! The game is built around narration, atmosphere and mechanics like puzzles and occasional stealth sequences. It's not a typical shooter or action game with many clones around the corner. The environment art and graphics are very good. The atmosphere is well designed with narration. Controls are also good however you need to play it with controller. The game also runs pretty smooth on a budget hardware. It's an indie game so some parts like animations look clunky.
"Salvation: Echoes of War" is an indie game that focuses on storytelling and atmosphere. It emphasizes stealth and environmental puzzles instead of action. The game features a unique visual style that blends realistic and surreal environments, showing the nightmares of a pilot in a coma. Players experience emotional depth through companionship mechanics, and the cinematics are engaging. The game has some issues, including stiff movement and controls that can feel somewhat clunky. It still requires a few patches to fix minor bugs. While the use of generative AI in the cinematics and audio adds a cinematic feel. If you enjoy indie games with strong narratives and atmospheric settings, "Salvation: Echoes of War" is worth playing and supporting.

I've been following this game for a few months through trailers and their X account, and I played it today. I even played their demo on Steam Fast. The game was much cleaner than the demo, and some of the demo's bugs didn't occur at all in the game. It's interesting that in X I found out that the team that made the game was only two people! Now that I've played it, it's even more amazing to me how they were able to create these amazing environments. To be honest, it took me a while to figure out what was going on in some parts of the game, but the feel, atmosphere, and good music helped me give it a chance. I'll tell you that the game gets more interesting as it goes on. After about half an hour, I was just waiting to see what environment I'd enter next! I don't want to spoil it, but you really have to keep up with the game's pace to experience the interesting parts. The gameplay is varied but simple, which seemed exactly right for this game. I only have one criticism of the developer. I wish they had introduced the dog earlier. Because the gameplay was very enjoyable.
The games graphics was really attention grabbing and i really liked the gameplay, the story line is very interesting would 100% recommend other people to try this game
This games concept is fantastic and abstract, i love the way of story telling and graphics. on the other hand i should mention that the Theme songs are legendary, i really recommend this game if you guys like a new way of immersion in to a horror story.
Really enjoyed Salvation: Echoes of War. The atmosphere and world are probably my favorite parts, the game does a great job of pulling you in and making everything feel intense. The gameplay is fun, the visuals look great, and you can tell a lot of effort went into the overall experience. I had a great time playing it, and the amount of detail and effort put into the game really shows. It’s a genuinely enjoyable experience and definitely worth checking out!
If you’re looking for an immersive and different way of telling a story about war, while experiencing it from a unique point of view with interesting interactions, this game is definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere, art style, character design, music, and story are all unique and beautifully put together. It’s not a typical horror adventure game, it makes you think and encourages you to connect the pieces of the story yourself. What I liked is the way you experience the story and make connections between the characters, events, and details around you. It feels like the game trusts the player to discover and interpret things rather than simply telling you what to think. It has a lot of potential and plenty of room to grow as an indie game, but it already offers a really interesting and memorable experience. Definitely recommended!
What surprised me about this game was the amount of gameplay variety throughout the game. Some of them are interesting and polished, others not so much. The story is ok, the main character is relatable, but the dog is even better. Flying was fun, especially in the last level, but it needs polish. Some puzzles our fun, others are just so easy to solve. Positives - Atmosphere, visuals, environments, music and cinematic presentation - Story and theme - Variety of gameplay and originality - Dog gameplay Negatives - Some gameplay mechanics need polish - Minor bugs, and bad collision in some areas - Uneven chapters: Some chapters were interesting, others not so much
Trash game, not recommended.
