S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is living proof that not every sequel needed to happen. I seriously have no idea how this pile of crap made it out the door. I can forgive old graphics. I can forgive jank. It's S.T.A.L.K.E.R., that's part of the charm. What I can't forgive is a game that seems actively designed to piss you off. Every enemy has an unlimited supply of grenades hidden up his ass. Peek for half a second? Grenade. Stay behind cover? Three grenades. Think about moving? Believe it or not, grenade. Then there's the faction war system, which sounds amazing on paper and barely works half the time. AI gets stuck, territories change hands for no reason, and the whole thing feels like an unfinished experiment they forgot to finish. The gunplay somehow feels worse than Shadow of Chernobyl, the balancing is a disaster, and the ending at the CNPP is one of the most miserable slogs I've ever played. Whoever thought spawning enemies nonstop while they laser you from across the map was fun deserves jail time. The worst part is that underneath all this garbage, you can actually see a fantastic game trying to get out. The atmosphere is still incredible. The soundtrack is still incredible. The Zone is still incredible. Everything that required actual game design? Complete trainwreck. Play Shadow of Chernobyl. Play Call of Pripyat. Pretend this one got hit by an emission. 3/10. The real anomaly was letting this game being released +10000 radiation +100000000 cancer.
В этой части так же. Если бы не кривая стрельба, была бы хорошей игрой. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2753605281
Каждая часть S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
I honestly am bit baffled how some people can still hold the second game in the STALKER series in good regard. As for me this was one of the most tedious and unsatisfying game in series I have ever played. One of few good things. We can finally repair and upgrade armor and weapons. But then you realize you are hanging on this system cause good chunk of weapons won't be accurate to hit anything closer than 3 meters. And even if they hit: MAN does gunplay feel off. A bandit in raincoat should not tank 5 shotgun shells at almost point blank range. If SOC did ok with it's gunplay and that game had worst pistol in gaming history (Makarov PM) then I gotta ask: What happened here? AI is also on new level of bad. Military sitting outside house while I am inside firing bullets into their heads with silenced pistol and having no reaction as it penetrates theirs skulls. And grenade spam? The moment you hear someone "Catch a grenade" you better make a plan in next second to leave cover as his whole squad will IN SYNC throw 100% accurate grenade right next your feet. Doesn't even matter what cover you are as I have witnessed with my own eyes grenades going through solid objects ( In this case a HOUSE) and just plopping next to my foot. Anyone also complaining backtracking and grind in SOC, just what are you smoking? Clear Sky is demanding you to put 12 hours just for swamps and Cordon to get somewhat decent equipment with constant running back and forth to get rewards from main base as no NPC gives rewards directly now. And don't get me started on that MG nest. Yes you can take other way but game is guiding you THERE first, THEN it opens other way from the military outpost. It is litteraly wasting your time. And you can't sneak even through dead of the night cause game is scripted to open fire on you the moment you reach their range. All in alll, Clear sky did good things at the time that were missing in SOC, but it somehow managed to make lot of main mechanics worse while adding other horrible things (Being guided at MG nest in Cordon among those things) so go get SOC, install some mods and have fun with that or buy COP and play that vanilla or modded, it's still way better than this slogfest.
The weakest of the original stalker trilogy by a mile. Play through it once for the story, then go on to the others.

Потужно і атмосферно. Дякую що в дитинстві зруйнували мою психіку і тепер легше сприймається реальний п%здєц, що коїься у світі
Just finished playing S.T.A.K.E.R. Clear Sky. The game is genuinely beautiful, but the finale was one of the biggest disappointments in all time I've played games. Maybe if I took a longer route and got all the heals I could, I would've made my experience easier, but I've suffered immense mental torment. No heals, enemies kept throwing grenades at me non-stop, gun kept jamming, kept bleeding and couldn't move, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything. Maybe I'm a noob or smth, but it was a terrible experience, and nobody is gonna give me my nerves back. I almost finished the game but I couldn't bring myself to do that. It's the worst time I've ever had playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Clear Sky just ragebaits you into oblivion. Guns are ♥♥♥♥, Enemy behaviour is ♥♥♥♥ and the pathing of the game is horrendous... leave it rest in its grave and play something that you enjoy more, f.e. any other stalker game <3
