You can publish your games directly to the platform where everyone can play it at the click of a button.

I just don't like it.
Tried the game out with a friend and it just wasn't fun at all, how a sandbox game can be so bland and offer little to nothing aside from an eye roll and a long winded sigh is nothing short of a miracle. I should've refunded this game after the first minute of playing but I forgot and now got around to refunding it before writing this review, which honestly describes this game perfectly... forgettable. How a sandbox game doesn't have a steam workshop makes me question the point of this game in the first place, the workshop in-game runs as smooth as wiping ass with sand paper, and wanting to change your character to not look like Jason Voorhees without his mask in the third film will run you some cash at least when I played, unsure if it still cost money and honestly I don't care to find out. From the advice of a mentally sound perfect human just buy Garry's mod don't waste spiking cortisol on this game, all the people defending this game aren't even playing it most likely. They know Garry made it which is fair you want to see a developer you like succeed, however we didn't get to the moon by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powered rockets... we had good rockets. This game won't take you to the moon Garry's mod will.
Disappointed
Ждать не надо было.
Not having native linux support for a gmod successor is actually insane, especially in 2026.
Disclaimer: My review is about the S&Box editor. The game engine is absolutely phenomenal, and there are places where it's better than it's 3 main competitors like Unity, Unreal and Godot. 1st. The physics! And it is absolutely unmatched with other game engines. I really hope people will make a lot of interesting games, due to a much more powerful physics engine. 2nd. The speed of the editor. Yes I would argue it's even faster than godot. In the end you end up with a flexible engine, with great rendering and light features, simple yet advanced. If you're a Unity developer I think most will feel like home! If there is one thing I wish was more allowed it would be the whitelisting. I am specialized in Affective Computing, and would love to introduce people to the niches of how your mental state, pulse could impact a game, but from what I've seen there is no inference engines allowed to day.. but you can still use them, but you can't release them to the S&Box game itself.
This game aleardy falled and will never goes back (if they do they would change alot of thing) Only 35 years old devs jobless will say im wrong game called Core aleardy did this experiance exactly the same thing than s&box but s&box have source 2 that literally the exact same thing that not even roblox v2 player of Core will understand what im talking about EVEN core have more player bruh how they manage to do such sales
I really want this game to be good! I think there are some neat ideas in here, especially on the editor side of things, like Razor UI, and the Multiplayer system... But there's barely any documentation for crucial features of the engine like Compute Shaders (they just get 3 passing mentions,) they released the main Sandbox mode in a state that's not even comparable to how it was before the Scene system, and it's barely optimized (I realize I'm running a somewhat dated system, but I don't think a RTX 3070 is mid-tier) Again; I really like some of the ideas here, and enjoy developing for it. There's just a undeveloped fetus holding it together that can't explain anything for the life of itself.
Waste of money
