This is a 2D top down Spacewar/Asteroids clone with a procgen mission "story" system (like FTL). There's some research and upgrade paths for your ship, etc. The retro pixel graphics here are abysmally poor quality, they look worse than decades old Starcon 2. And Starcon 2 had a proper story and content, here, the developers tried to use procgen as a substitute for content. Developers must learn procgen isn't content. This is a fairly shovelware tier game considering there's no content, procgen only, and very poor visuals due to the lazy retro pixel graphics being used as a substitute for modern PC graphics. The price of $17 is a far too high for such low quality.
Poetry is wisdom disguised as art. This work of art has a lot to teach.

what the hell is even that?
Ethereally beautiful.
Awesome game, i have played it over and over and i never get bored. It would be more awesome if the developers would add extra chapters or a custom game option.
good game
Not really sure if it's a rogue like since you don't really make much progress, even on easy it is painfully slow. Dying over and over from hitting rocks is super fun as well. Suppose I should have watched some gameplay before purchasing but I trusted PC Gamer giving it an editors choice. That is likely because it is something different from the normal games they review so anything new gets higher ratings. Played for almost two hours and don't see the point anymore. Might be decent as a mobile game to pass time while on the bus but not on PC.
Mostly just tedious -- you can stay fairly safe by moving slowly.
