Short version: 41%
Like its predecessor, Rush for Gold 2 never tries to be anything more than a very basic time management game, but this time around its levels are not enjoyable enough to save its barebones gameplay.
Long version:
Rush for Gold: California is technically the sequel of a pleasant, but forgettable time management game; the kind where you gather different resource types (in this case: food, wood, gold, coal) to clear obstacles or to build production buildings. I say “technically”, because California is more like a carbon copy of Alaska, with the exact same mechanics—nothing has changed, no surprises await returning players. The biggest strength of Alaska was the level design, and this is where California falters. Plainly put, this one is boring: almost every level has a similar layout, similar goals, and similar order of tasks. Admittedly, this kind of repetition has always been an integral part of the genre, but Rush for Gold 2 takes it just a few steps beyond enjoyable.
So I bought this for my 11 year old. I thought it would be a nice gesture for her to play something. She told me it was for babies.

AINSLIE’S LITTLE PEARLS California is a cute little game that requires a small amount of strategy to complete each task and the occasional bought of patience to wait out the reload of the food bushes. This game is a quick play that allows you to achieve tasks quickly and move through the levels with ease. The cute inhabitants of this small world bring brightness, colour and fun to the game and even cheer you on with each achievement. I recommend this little pearl of a game for a short chill out/mental break session from the real world, a chance to escape reality and be the hero of California. This game is even casual-er(is casual-er even a word?) than normal casual games. If you want to relax and play an easy game that makes you feel like you don't suck at playing games then buy this. ALSO I cannot switch from full-screen to window mode. For a game this casual i would of thought that it can be played in window mode. bah!!!

Лаву направил в другую сторону) Нравяться игры такова типа, хорошо убивает время!
Rush for gold: California is a pretty fun time/resource management game. You pick berries, chop trees, build bridges and the boss shoots wolves so you won't be scared. Of course, you pan for gold! Get it cheap or in a bundle if you're a fan of the genre.
