RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape Dragonwilds takes everything I enjoy about survival crafting games and mixes it with the world and lore of RuneScape in a way that feels fresh while still being familiar. Exploring Ashenfall is genuinely rewarding, with every new area offering something interesting to discover, whether it's hidden resources, dangerous creatures, or another reason to completely forget what you were originally planning to do. The building system is satisfying and gives you plenty of freedom to create a base that feels like your own. I started with a simple little cabin and somehow ended up building what can only be described as an unnecessarily oversized kingdom. No regrets. Progression feels steady, with new recipes, gear, and abilities unlocking at a great pace without ever feeling overwhelming. The survival mechanics are balanced nicely too. They keep you thinking without making every five minutes feel like a desperate search for food. Although, as with any survival game, you'll still spend an embarrassing amount of time asking yourself, "Now where did I put that one resource?" Combat is enjoyable and only gets better as you unlock magic and stronger equipment. Seeing classic RuneScape creatures reimagined in this new style brought a huge smile to my face, and the bosses offer a fun challenge that feels even better when tackled with friends. Just don't be surprised if your confidence disappears the moment a dragon reminds you who's actually in charge. Visually, the game is gorgeous. The environments are packed with detail, the lighting creates an incredible atmosphere, and the soundtrack perfectly captures that feeling of adventure. It's one of those games where you tell yourself you'll play for half an hour, then suddenly realise it's somehow three hours later and you've achieved everything except the one thing you originally logged in to do. Whether you're a long-time RuneScape fan or simply enjoy survival crafting games, there's a lot to love here. It already has a strong foundation, and if this is just the beginning, I'm genuinely excited to see where it goes next. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to spend another three hours gathering resources because apparently I still don't have enough logs. 10/10 Would recommend.
