Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection

Probably better to just emulate these. Price tag is steep. Plus, they aren’t even good emulations/ports. Search for reptar had a few strange issues and bugs not present in the original. Huge lack of options for settings, and virtually no QoL outside of standard emulation stuff like save states. Wait for update and sale, if either happen.

voy a devolverlo por que apesar de ser el juego de mi infancia y estar disponibles las voces de españa, en el juego no se permite cambiar el audio. no puedo jugar a este juego en condiciones en ingles ya que los bebes hablan y te guían en el juego. sin poder entenderles para mi no tiene sentido. arreglar esto porfavor. esta disponible la voz, añadirla

I was so hyped when I saw this was coming out and bought it immediately when it went live! I thought that playing the game on PC would be a better experience than the original controls of the PS1 (Search for Reptar specifically). Pros: It's bright and shiny and the rewind feature is actually super helpful in avoiding any game-breaking bugs (like the golf balls getting stuck in the terrain and locking you out of progress, which happened twice in my playthrough). You only get 10 seconds though, so if you come across a problem, you've got to be QUICK on the draw to get out of it. Cons: Unfortunately there's not only no re-mapping of keyboard and mouse controls, but they are also unlisted on the game itself and listed incorrectly online. It's definitely a controller-only experience, which is understandable I guess, but for myself who still owns my original copy and a PS1 to play it on, this port failed to do what I actually wanted to buy THIS version for. If they update the game to include re-mapping of controls, I would probably pick it up again,

нормально в таком виде играть в эти игры и щас ,даже можно что и пройти до конца из этих 7 игр в этом сборнике, и вердикт мой 6 из 10 так себе игры из конца 90 годов, и 700 рублей этот сборник точно не стоить, по 100 рублей за одну игру всё честно .

Pathetic port. Play the original using Duckstation. Game barely functions, with it speeding up and slowing down all over the place plus the awful, awful input lag, playing the golf minigame was a pain due to the crazy amount of lag and stuttering when trying select shot power, not to mention cutscene audio is messed up completely during these speedups and slowdowns. An absolutely AWFUL port, really guys? it's a couple of PS1 roms we're talking about here, do better in the future. Do not buy in its current state. Refunded after less than 30 minutes of play.

I can see why many people think negatively about this port, but I enjoyed the small time of getting my nostalgia fix from a TV show that was solid from the 90s and the games I owned physically on the Playstation. If you enjoyed the Rugrats and don't mind the ol' clunkiness of it then I say this is a retro collection that's wroth especially if it's on sale.

Rugrat's Retro Rewind Collection Has a total of 7 games, the first 3 were on the Play station 1 and are 3d the other 4 were on gameboy and are 2d, ive seen people complain about the visuals of these games but considering that even just search for reptar will put you back $30 the same price as this entire collection on Ebay i cant complain. The most visual noise i would see is black lines and a bit of jank throughout the first 3 3d games, there is a filter but i didnt like it so i didnt bother with it, I think alot of people are so used to modern games they forget that this is what Ps1 used to look like. the other 4 gameboy 2d games have no visual stutters what so ever, to clarify while there is some typical jank for the first 3 3d games it did not interrupt my gameplay what so ever, the pause and save feature is very useful for those tedious mini games such as the golf or Angelica's circus launch chucky poop. the first 3 games consist of mini puzzles and little side levels that you go through in order to complete the game. It was quite fun reliving my childhood and im sure many 90s babies like myself would of at least played and remembered playing one of these. in any case ignore the cry babies over the visual noise, like I said it doesn't effect gameplay what so ever, when your saving your game don't save on the starter menu, if you don't like one game play another there's 6 more if one doesn't tickle your fancy, all in all search up some youtube videos if your uncertain, form your own opinion and don't rely on others to tell you whats good and bad in terms of a game.

I wish Steam had a middle option. Is this a lazy port? Yes it is. The game runs fine for me so I'm not going to ding it for that but..... The thing that bothered me the most is why did they take out the OG ps1 layout. I get that the Xbox controller is more popular but come on. What are we doing? Why not both? Also if this is going to be on PC I should be able to customize the keyboard layout. I was going to give it thumps down but it does run fine for me and it is only $20. Was the games perfect on ps1? Nope, but you guys could of fixed them up to before releasing this. Its getting a 5/10 for me.

As happy as I am to see these games return, I can't recommend this collection on PC in it's current state. I haven't tried the Game Boy games, I'm sure they run fine. The PS1 games run fine too, but with issues that may or may not matter to some. The main problem I have is with the audio quality, it sounds "tinny". There is also a glitch that causes the first couple seconds of a cutscene in Search for Reptar to be sped up. I don't think this is an issue on console though. If these issues are fixed, I would happily recommend the collection Also, not a deal breaker by any means, but it would be nice to have the option to clean up the visuals with an upscale option.

I really enjoy this because of nostalgia. i dont think most people who play the ps1 games will enjoy them today because the controls arent great and this isnt a remaster or remake for any of them. each of the games are straight ports, so any issues the og had this has.
