Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 13 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game, good story, the game let you do what you want, no hint, no little voice that tell you what to do, just a board of idea and record of what you did and what you can do. the motivation system works well, but seems a bit too rewarding when you dig in the game, never had issue with motivation. And even if you fail a social check, no problem you can try smth else or spend more motivation to retry. Didn't finished it yet but for now its a great game, and it cost only 14€, worth its price, try it.
The idea is intriguing, the beginning is promising, and you can clearly see a lot of people were really passionate about their work, especially artists, animators and voice actors. But all of those could not make up for the writing and game design in general. Time loop as a storytelling tool has so many disadvantages and the game design behind Rue Valley only amplifies them. Lots of repetitiveness, your time is always being wasted and on top of that the inexplicable focus on little mundane details of life of every npc. Like imagine you one day find yourself in a time loop and all you do almost every iteration is find out more and more about personal life of complete strangers, like why the owner of a nearby bar got divorced a couple of years ago or what is the relationship between a random guy on a random farm and his passed away grandfather. All these tidbits of info don't lead to anything more interesting or important, for some reason you are just tasked to build a complete picture of the personal life of like a dozen people living around main character. All the good things about Rue Valley just fade away until all you feel is your time being wasted. The gameplay does not feel meaningful in any way, I feel like only the first hour of the game is worth playing through. I'm completely puzzled at what the target audience is and how the game has passed playtests at all. I understand the devs were going for Disco Elysium-like, but oh my god how deep the gap is between this game and DE. In Rue Valley you are just trapped in a loop where nothing entertaining happens at all

Rue Valley is NOT Disco Elysium, and that is such a good thing. These 2 games are very different, the only similarities is their genre, thats where it ends. If you come in expecting Disco Elysium, you WILL be dissapointed. I came into this not having that expectation in mind, and I was treated well. I loved the comic book art style, the writing style, and the loop aspect of the game. It felt very refreshing and fun to explore around and find out more about Rue Valley and it's citizens. There is a lot to unfold in this game, and I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Play this game if you are curious, go in with no expectations, and you will be pleasently surprised. The narrative kept me thouroughly invested, so much so that I had a hard time putting the game down. The characters are all interesting, and it feels great the more you get to learn about them. I hope we get another Rue Valley-like game, as it seems this game was made with nothing but pure passion.
I don't regret my time spent in Rue Valley. It's a small book hiding between clicks and button presses, you get to choose which part of it you're reading first and can change the tone of the narrative somewhat but yeah, you still have to be ok with reading. Some bits are funny, some are sad, some are witty and all of it is pretty good. For someone who has almost zero knowledge about psychoanalysis this game gave me some insight about depression and steps to overcoming it, maybe it wasn't super deep but still something useful to be left with at the end of the journey. I played this one as a break between action focused stuff expecting chill narrative experience and i did get that in the end so have no complaints, really.
This game suffers from pacing issues. Bad ones. Everything starts to fall apart in the second act. The story is a bit of a mess. Lean into the absurd, then pull up hard. What exactly was the point? I get that tedium is part of the storyline, but not respecting the player's time as a whole is a bit insulting. Frankly, I understand getting a "bad ending," but after 12-ish hours of enduring the "quirks" of this game, getting nothing but a credit roll and "You just couldn't do it." Felt like a bit of a slap in the face. So much so that I didn't bother save scumming for a different ending. Do I regret spending the $25? Yes, very much so.
I played a piece of garbage story writing.
It wasn't the best, but the analysis of Eugene and the overall story was interesting enough for me to put up with the shortfalls in gameplay at certain points. It is definitely flawed, but still a decent game worth getting when it's on deep sale.
