Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 13 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fell asleep while playing. I tried to give it a few days to try maybe the story with progress but it’s just useless talking, i can tell the game was made with the intention of masquerading as disco Elysium but im sorry it wasn’t even close. The graphics and game design is amazing and refreshing to see this style used in gaming, other than that the game just drags
I love this game. It might be my favorite game I've ever played. It's so funny, relatable, and heartbreaking. It captures the feeling of being disenfranchised, alone, with a whole load of emotional trauma that you don't know what to do with - you can't even hardly think about it. And every day feels exactly the same, and whenever you ask for help, nothing changes... the loop just repeats, again, and again, and again. It feels like no one can help you. No one can even remember you. The use of game mechanics is wonderfully bizarre. Eugene gets stuck, unable to complete questlines, just because he can't find the inspiration to get up and take the next steps towards escape. It creates the impression that you've soft-locked the game, somehow, but no - the answer is to finish reading a book, go look at a flower, do something, do anything, that might give you a little energy. The status effect mechanic gives the impression that you might be able to pass certain checks by altering your personality, but in a practical sense, you can't - just like in real life, the things that make you courageous or cautious might not come at the right time. The willpower mechanic creates the impression that you'll build strength over time, but by the end of the game you only gain one pip. Just like in real life - mental and emotional changes happen gradually, and require an enormous amount of effort. It takes time. In the story, some questions are left unanswered. Some loose ends are never tied up. It's sad, it's upsetting, it's hilarious. Does it make sense, that an organization called the Ministry of Public Happiness would send Eugene to court-ordered therapy in the middle of the desert, when it's unclear if he's even suicidal? No. But symbolically, it rings true; behavioral healthcare is often a deeply broken system. But that doesn't mean it's entirely worthless - Dr. Fink's advice has value, if you can persuade Eugene to listen. Of course this game isn't for everyone. If you're expecting a massively complex story with loads of variable paths and dialog trees, like Disco Elysium, then this game probably isn't for you. The choices you make in Rue Valley don't have a big effect on the plot, as far as I can tell - they mostly change the dialog, and Eugene's attitude towards the situation. But that doesn't bother me, personally. The story is wild, and weird, and funny, and beautiful. It expresses something that I've seen no other game express.

An interesting Disco-like time loop game with good writing and an interesting premise. Slightly drags towards the end, and could have been tightened up by an hour or two, but a worthwhile experience in any case.
This game is bad. it is boring with a interesting premise and wastes it after two hours on a melancholic unsatisfying ending that explains little to nothing.
Game draws you in very easily, quite like the aesthetic and the initial plot points. I like very much the time loop trope that rules the whole narrative. Halfway through the game the amount of possibilities that comes up to ones mind are limitless but it feels like for some reason, the developers either ran out of time or cornered themselves narratively which forced the story to solve super fast almost out of nowhere. Its a pity because as I said, the possibilities that come to one's mind are limitless and it seems like a lot of little details and story lines are never picked up or just droped halfway. I also feel like in the last act where the area with three characters is unlocked, there is barely any story lines or objectives or things that the player can influence beyond the main story line. I really enjoyed the visual style of the game, as well as the music and the voice actors that helps the player immerse into the story. I loved the little details that at the beggining that rewarded the player for paying attention and also the whole aspect of going through the time loops and interacting with other characters to learn their past and mistakes and use that as a form of therapy for the main character. Good game and mechanics, mid ending.
I believe the same thing will happen with this game as happened with Cyberpunk 2077; at first there is a lot of negative feedback, but overtime the game finds its audience and place. As far as I know, the expectations were really high with Rue Valley due to the legacy that Disco Elysium left behind. Like others have said, this is not Disco Elysium 2, it is visually similar and gameplay-wise has similar elements, but at least in my mind they fulfill different roles and serve different purposes. That being said the themes are similar, both incorporating themes of mental health, loneliness, loss and hopelessness. I personally enjoyed Disco Elysium more, but again, that sets the standard incredibly high. Rue Valley has an interesting story, enjoyable music, likeable artstyle and overall good gameplay loop. I think it suffers from pacing, sometimes feeling like there is so much to do while other times I found myself going in circles. I think it would greatly benefit from having the thoughts narrated by a voice actor. The story was good, but left me feeling a bit empty, I think there could have been something just a little bit more and it would have been just right for my liking. I also wish the character-building would have had a bit more effect on the overall story and gameplay, right now it felt more like pinch of seasoning on top instead of a fully integrated game mechanic. I look forward to playing more games from the same developers! All in all: it's a great game with very reasonable price and if you enjoy this type of games I suggest giving it a chance and seeing how you like it.
Good game that was quite close to being a great game. I got it on sale for $10 and I think that was a great price for the game.
