Wow! Awesome old-school dungeon-crawler RPG with some nice NEW ideas!! I'm amazed that peeps are sleeping on this one as it's really quite good. Very cool areas to explore at the start and a lot of fun stuff, really a quality title! Want to see this expanded with raw campaign content and see more games like this made by other devs in the future!! :)
Enjoyable dungeon crawler in the PS1 style that runs fine on steam deck. I would encourage the devs to get verification asap as the game is best on the small screen with headphones. The game would benefit from a smoothing filter if they want to make this more visually compatible for a large 50+ inch TV screen. Solid 8/10 game otherwise and a steal at under 5 pounds.
This is a really nostalgic game while being new. It is a charming and genuinly just a short fun romp I really recommend to anyone at this point. I have at this point beat the base game but will be going back to beat the post game and make a video on the game as a whole since I did greatly enjoy my time with it! here are some praises - The most interesting part of the combat for me is the combo system. There is a really interesting combo system in place which allows you to have a highly customized combat experience. for examble, speccing heavy into a war of attriton where you outheal damag, or just criplle the enemy by reducing their key resources, or even punnishing an enemy for over aggresion with a damn heavenly smite of damage. It ROCKS - The enemies are able to standout individually utilizng the mechanics of the game in interesitng ways that are (mostly) immediatley understandable - The game is stunning! I love the asthetic of the game so much and honestly it's not as confusing as it looks to naviagte once you get into the groove i promise. - The map is just fun to explore with secrets and interesting anomolies at everycorner - it's simple! I have missed a game that I can just go around in and have somne good old fun without a billion things to think about, it's hugley refreshing some negatives - There is a finite resource to teleport between healing spots, it is needless padding, no ifs or buts, just what it is. - the shopkeep who provides the warp material and a meterial essential to the engrave system moves around and at a certain point is just gone
(I've not found them again, my guess is they are secrelty the final boss)
- there are drawings around the map and some are entierly undecipherable - some enemies are just not properly balanced,
screw that tentacle monster, screw that one gem boss that doubles its speed at a certain point making it a near insta-loss
I quite adore this game and hope the team makes more in the future. You all did great! I hope you make some dough back off this game!!!!!
Very cool little dungeon crawler. Gets hard fast, and the combat system is interesting, though stressful to me personally. It might be trite to say, but it has the oppressive feel of a Dark Souls game, though less punishing since you don't lose anything upon death. Well worth the few dollars it costs if you're into dungeon crawlers with cool aesthetics.
This game is really great Love everything about it from the graphics to the game play really great dungeon crawler hope their is more to come really great game
Fun short little dungeon crawler. There's something interesting going on with the combat mechanics, albeit I just played a speedy high damage build so I didnt get into the spells too much. You'll beat it in a couple hours most likely. Finding new gear and stuff is pretty fun and the gear stats / leveling stats are akin to that of a souls game. Would like to see a deeper/longer experience. Otherwise fun little game.
Neat short game with novel combat system, good pacing and pleasant aesthetics. It takes around 2 hours to beat the final boss battle, plus under an hour to get all the achievements. There are also a hard mode and an item randomizer built-in which you unlock after beating the main game but I haven't tried it myself yet. To the specifics, I really like the combat system. It reaches a good balance between think-y turn-based combat and action battles. The game encourages you to play around with different sigils, equipment feels different and important (although I played much of the game with a trusty rapier).
I love this game! The art is beautiful, the combat is fun, and I love the music! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a neat quick game to play :D
A nice game that hopefully was a test project for something a bit more grand. Thanks for adventure devs!
A short but sweet little dungeon crawler. The combat is its main focus, and it has enough mechanics and tools to explore that you always have something to do. My only minor gripe is that I wish the actual dungeon crawling was a bit more involved, maybe had more puzzles, but it serves its purpose just fine.
