About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

It is a game. That is for sure. Great sound design, cool mechanics. Story progression was a bit of pain to figure out, but ultimately rewarding. Story... I dunno make your own theory. 8/10, Very good.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thank you devs for this great game. Immersion is unbelievable and the C.A.T is a great idea!
Interesting mechanics. My favorite location was Lunar Surface due this alone I leave positive review. But overlay game borred me after ~2 hour and I push refunded. Perfomace was stable 60 on my PC Vsynch lock 1440P Native Max settings . GPU ~ power draw ~100W.
The game crafts an (initially) impressively oppressive atmosphere on a retro-futuristic lunar base, but its terror quickly evaporates into a frustratingly flawed survival horror experience. Ineffective Monster Design: The terrifying build-up completely falls apart upon seeing Entity B, the monster. The creature model is low-quality, visually goofy, and frequently ruined by glitchy AI, instantly shifting the tone from cosmic horror to unintentional comedy. Trivialized Threat & Abundant Resources: Horror dies the moment you realize you can easily outrun every single threat in the game. Coupled with battery packs scattered everywhere (your main ammo/interaction resource), you never face true resource scarcity or real panic. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER - SKIP AHEAD FOR NO SPOILERS Nonsensical Narrative: The story relies on a cheap, unearned "you were mind-controlled the whole time" twist. It makes zero sense for the protagonist (who is an Isaac Clark space engineer-type of guy) and his free will to be overridden when you spend the entire game actively reading logs, listening to tapes, and learning exactly how the EL9 fungal spores manipulate the mind. END SPOILER END SPOILER END SPOILER - SAFE TO READ NOW By prioritizing an unavoidable and unearned trope-heavy ending over logical player agency and competent stealth and horror mechanics, Routine trades true psychological horror for a predictable, poorly paced walking simulator. It does look amazing though, and except for one or two areas, runs flawlessly. Oh and the game is really really short, doesn't bother me but buyer beware. This is basically Alien Isolation but with a terrible story, very bad horror gameplay and a monster that both visually and mechanically inspires zero fear. Oh and there are also a few jump scares that are just...so bad. Like terribad. Graphics & Performance - 8.5/10 Gameplay - 3/10 Audio - 6/10 Story - 1/10 Overall Score - 4.6 Visually impressive game, and very well crafted environments / settings, but a failure in all other regards. The fact that this game has such a high rating makes the reality of low expectations and easily satisfied audiences painfully abundant.
This game made me ♥♥♥♥ a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brick.
Good game. Great story, I was initially turned off* but it brought me back in with some wonderful world concepts and design. The audio was something pretty noteworthy as well. For what it offers for immersion I would say this is worth it at full price and at a discount a must buy. *The initial turn off was the difficulty with one of the fuse boxes seemingly bugging out on me. When in reality it was a nothing burger. I spent the better half of an hour in one spot at the first level. This is more of a me issue I think rather than a fault with the game but noteworthy.
this is a good game!
