About This Game
The world didn’t end in a single moment.
No clear beginning or end.
It faded — quietly, slowly — leaving behind places filled with silence, traces, and unanswered questions.
ROTEN is an open-world zombie multiplayer, PvP PvE survival experience focused on atmosphere, exploration, and environmental storytelling. The world is open, hostile, and indifferent to your presence. You are free to move through it at your own pace, choosing where to go, what to explore, and what to leave behind.
Abandoned houses, isolated roads, forgotten facilities, and remote points of interest remain scattered across the landscape. Some tell their stories openly. Others reveal nothing unless you stop, look closer, and pay attention.
There are no forced narratives.
No quest markers telling you what to feel.
Meaning is found through observation — through objects left behind, scenes frozen in time, and small details that suggest what once happened, and what didn’t.
The infected roam freely.
They are not puzzles or scripted encounters. They are a constant presence, shaping how you move, fight, and survive. Sometimes they block your path. Sometimes they remind you that noise, speed, and carelessness have consequences.
Survival is simple, but never easy.
You will search abandoned locations for supplies, weapons, and vehicles. You will decide when to fight, when to avoid conflict, and when to move on. Every journey between locations carries risk, and every place you enter may offer safety, danger, or nothing at all.
Some locations exist only to be passed through.
Others stay with you long after you leave.
ROTEN does not rush you.
It does not explain itself.
The world exists whether you are watching or not.

Reviews
(I only do not recommend this game because of how early access it is and how some of these bugs as of now make it a little impossible to enjoy fully yet but in the future if these bugs are fixed than I definitely recommend) It has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed as of now. I accidentally pressed CAPS lock and it removed my hotbar, wouldn't let me open my inventory, or even the menu to leave the game. I had to alt F4 which all of my stuff was saved. Before my entire hotbar and everything disappeared I had just killed a group of dudes that had guns but then when I had to alt F4 after I already killed them and had all of their loot they instantly respawned and one tapped me. I also kept running into invisible walls inside of the town areas that you have to go a specific way to get through the walls even though the whole terrain was open. (This invisible wall was right in front of two big looking towers in the same town in the grassy area that has a Diner at the entrance) To me its a fun game so far and I would love to play it more but only after these bugs have been fixed. I hope the creator sees this comment and continues to edit and add to this game.
please add sex
The game is in early development but it is very very promising. Honestly first thing i felt when i started playing was a rush of nostalgia from when i was a kid and played unturned. I love it!
I feel like I'm playing Unturned with better graphics, and I love it. For an early access game, I see a lot of potential. There’s still room for improvement, but that’s to be expected at this stage. Good job, devs — I’m looking forward to future updates.
quite amazing ,feels like im playing unturned again makes me feel like a little kid, only thing that i dislike about it for now not being able to adjust the volume
I played the game a bit and I can say that is definitely promising for something that's still under development! I'll keep an eye on it! I feel like this is gonna be awesome! It has good graphics and it feels good on movement (it is optimized) just needs more work on the mechanics and a few UI changes ..some updates! I recommend!
Terribly boring and most of the buildings are empty, just go play deadpoly
sometimes they can't take weapons under the table :D but it has potential :) it would need some story or even building :)) or some achievements :))
How the hell is this game not in Early Access? That makes absolutely no sense. You can’t properly use items, and you can’t even get out of cars. I honestly don’t know what else to say. Definitely keep your hands off this for now. Edit: Now there is an Early Access Status , but it is sadly still dont playable at all.
Really hope to see this game grow even more. Very fun as it is, lots of potential!
