Rooms of Realities

If you're looking for a multiplayer VR escape room with crossplay, you don't really have a ton of options. And if you want to play with other VR users that only use standalone quest, then this is the one you want. As of the time of this review, Escape Simulator recently added VR capability to their game, but they still add a disclaimer that it's only optimized for some of their rooms, and adding in a standalone quest version isn't slated until the end of this year. So assuming you read this review between when I post this and before they finish their quest version, this game is your obvious winner. My siblings are all spread out in different parts of the world and we played a campaign together as if we were all in the same room and we all had a great time. I play on Steam, and they all use standalone quest, so for me, the ability for steam-quest crossplay was important and seamless. Now, as for value. Escape room games, and really many puzzle games in general, suffer from the replay-ability concern. That is, you generally can't just play it again because now you already know all the answers to the puzzle. But if you for even a minute consider how much actual escape rooms cost, you realize the value is absolutely there. An Escape Room by me is $42/person for 60 minutes of play (whether you can solve it in that time or not). This game gives you three full scenarios that are broken into 3 volumes each so you don't have to commit to a full scenario in one go. It also comes with little collectibles you can find in each stage and a trophy for each scenario if you're into that sort of thing. There's not much left to say about this game. It's an escape room in your living room that you can play with anyone from anywhere at any time. And if you need more time to solve it, you won't get kicked out. :) It's crazy that this game isn't so much more popular than it is, but maybe like most indie games, it just lacks marketing. Grab some friends or family and have yourself a great time!

There is no teleportation,,,even though it says there is. Also, it starts players in different rooms so you are not working together. Maybe ultimately you will meet up, but starting out in separate rooms is frustrating. There were very little clues in my room. Everything needed a key to open or unlock and there were no keys to be found.

Well worth the price! Amazing little VR escape room game with coop. Great for an evening or two with VR friends.

A great option for those who have more than 1 VR headset. My dad, sister and I had a great few weekends playing this game using Quest 1 (steamVR), Q2 and Q3. The quests are inventive and logical, sometimes requiring player coordination, which is cool. I see a lot of potential in this genre. We need more impressive locations, avatars and stories. Q3 is already capable of displaying Alyx-style graphics, I dream of future escape room games with this level of immersion and similar gameplay.

Game is not getting more content so that makes me want to give a bad review but i wont. the game is being refined right now, ok. but it dident actually need it. 10 people want the refinement and 100 people want more content. well were gunna hide it from our library and have it uninstalled. great 1 time playthrough with friends. one you have done it thats it. has absolutly no replay value. grab on sale for an amaing 6 hours with friends! but dont buy it for full price unless there is more content added.

Klasse EscapeRoom Spiel - kann ich nur jeden empfehlen... Hoffentlich kommen noch viele zusätzliche DLC's ....

This is one of the best VR experiences I had so far. Especially when you like Escape Rooms. It was so much fun to play the rooms with 2 of my friends. It suchs a great way to interact with each other. Hopefully more rooms are coming in the near future as a DLC!!!

Played it with 2-3 Friends, great fun! The Rooms are reasonable paced & difficult, realy hope for more content / dlcs! The possible hand gestures allow for great non verbal communication if you want to make fun of friends who are stuck on an easy puzzle and the hidden stones mare for a great collectible. Some small bugs, but nothing too crazy. Must play!
