*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***
I am diligently crafting a completely new version of the game, starting from scratch to provide you with an enhanced experience and higher quality. You can track my progress on this new iteration in the community section or on Discord, where are regularly sharing updates, images, and vlogs every months. Since December 2025 this new version is available, but it is at a very early alpha with extremely limited content.
Creatures Inc. is an open world survival game where humans and creatures are bound by a fragile balance.

Explore a dangerous world, uncover its story, and make meaningful choices that will shape your journey. Survival is not only about fighting, but also about understanding the creatures that inhabit this land.
One of the core features of the game is the ability to tame creatures. Each creature can become an ally, helping you survive, fight, and explore the world in new ways. Managing and bonding with your tamed creatures is essential to your progression.

The game features a progression system that allows you to upgrade your character’s statistics and unlock new abilities. Every choice matters, from how you evolve your character to how you interact with the world and its inhabitants.
Creatures Inc. can be played solo or online in 2 player cooperative mode, allowing you to survive and tame creatures together in a shared open world experience.

Survive, tame, upgrade, and discover the truth behind this world.

First impression after 4h of playing in early alph version: 7/10 Pros: - Nice graphic - nice gameplay - Interesting concept - Frequent updates - Building system seems to be well designed (easy but effective) - It has HUGE potential Cons: I know it's still "under construction" but at the moment: - Small content (only few weapons, only few monster, only few not very intresting locations + few already interesting location which need to be polished) - some cosmetic problems with sounds on multiplayer - till now no quests or ideas what to do after few h of playing - system of car driving similar to a simulator of eight-wheel bathpool driving - not very challenging opponents (even band of werewolves can be beaten with simple makarov pistol) Summary: I think it's good to have this game. It can be very good title in few more months of updates. To Devs: I hope you will succeed with Creaures Inc, it's a good start - I keep my fingers crossed for you.
Loving it so far. Great practice for any pubg type games. Building needs to be worked on a bit. IE Trying to make a garage and made it two stories high but can't put a wall up top and leave bottom open for a car. Need a garage door would help. Can't jump on certain things like cars. You should be able to jump on top of a car. No idea how to demolish a building piece yet.. Will update as I play.
So the basis of this game is that you spawn at a little outpost/safezone. There you find your starter weapons, bounty signs for your creatures, and a trader that you BUY from (no selling in this game) gear, taming equipment, guns, etc. Outside of that area is just a vast world for you to explore, loot, and build in. Kill creatures and escort trapped citizens to gain money and buy more gear. Use that gear to kill more things, get more money, buy better gear. IT IS EARLY ACCESS. Some of the content is not available yet. I would say that at it's current price of under $10 USD, and if you are willing to be patient while they add new content and fix things, it is a worthy cheap game to go mess around and kill ♥♥♥♥ with friends. THE GOOD: -Runs VERY smooth, no issues in that department. - I enjoy the combat and damage of the guns thus far. It took almost a full mag from the pistol to take down a werewolf. -The melee weapon damage is a bit op considering it stops them when they get hit...But who doesnt love smashing monsters with a club? -YES, YOU CAN tame the creatures in the game, it is fairly simple to accomplish and doesnt take 20+ years like ARK does. They tend to mostly just serve as a temporary meatshield so no hard taming requirements makes sense -You WILL get swarmed when you run into one of the towns, my heart actually skipped a beat when i ran into the first city and got swarmed by 20ish werewolves at once. -Food and water meters actually work -The building system is very straightforward and easy to master -They do have a save system, so if you decide to close your P2P session with your buddy, the host can just save and you guys can hop back in whenever. THE BAD: -To start this off, there are no servers for this game. If you want to play, you have to set up your own server and HOPE your friends can join your session. If you join a server someone else started, prepare for them to randomly close the lobby and lose everything in your inventory. (Solo servers are a thing but are boring AF) -Tier 1 player built houses can be broken into with the starter axe in about 30 seconds -Half of the weapons at the tradepost are unavailable. -You can outrun every single creature ive encountered at walking speed because they stop in place to attack. -There is no open/close door mechanic on the pregenerated structures, they are just swinging doors and animals will follow you inside and kill you. -There is no PVP as of yet, or looting of bodies. -When you die, it resets your character skin (though this isnt a huge deal because you can change your preset back and forth during the game with no side effects)
Once the dev stated he was helping with Invasion 2037 (by the trailer, it looks like a clone of this game), I figured this game would fall by the wayside without updates and such. It feels to me now that it was a bait and switch. This game needs work, plain and simple. The first few times trying to get on this game, I had to force shutdown. Apparently, there is a movie/trailer that is supposed to play, but all I kept getting was a black screen. Once I finally got into the game (by deleting that movie file, per the player recommendation on forums), I had to reset my screen resolution. The last time I set the game to my screen's native res, the play and settings buttons disappeared off the bottom of the screen. Talking with the dev about this on forums seemed pointless, as he said it must be something on my end or something I was doing wrong. Odd that quite a few others had the same problem. Gameplay itself is okay. Keeping an eye on food and water is a must, which is understandable in a survival game. There's fresh water sources to drink from, and bottles of water and food can be found in the various buildings or bought from a vendor. Money is earned by killing mobs - if a creature you tamed kills the mob, you usually don't get the money for the kill. Inventory management is a must. Expect to travel back to your base or the safe zone frequently as you're out looting the buildings, as most items only stack to five. Multiplayer is good, and comes in handy when you get to the area where mobs literally seem to fly at you and one shot you. Only problem is that multiplayer gets taken out to be fixed every other month or so. At this point in time, I'm regretting not asking for a refund after speaking with the dev about the problems mentioned above. Maybe one day he'll work on this game again, once he's learned what to do from Invasion.
Do not buy. At first it seemed like a genuine early access title and I played it for quite a bit. But now after almost 10 months since the last update i can confirm that this is dead rubber. it may have been a quick cash grab or the dev's just couldnt support it anymore. Whatever the case, stay away.
If you paid money for this, just flog yourself. And I'm not talking the good flog either. This game is THAT bad. 0 content 0 updates Bunch of assets dropped in an empty world with some creatures and base building. Devs have another game they are working on which is just as bad and empty. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1137490/Invasion_2037/?curator_clanid=34410566 Do NOT give them your money. PLEASE!
The devs stop working on game. It's been a year. It's not worth 10 bucks in the state they left it in.
Game has a long way to go. Basic combat, lackluster animations, poor sound, but surprisingly decent character models with okay graphics and fluid movement. Creatures and all terrain/obstacles act as 100% immobile objects. No real "survival" aspect or indication of needing to heal - other than seeing a number and whited cross icon become depleted. I can understand charging for a game in early access and pre-alpha, but for this to be considered with the $10 asking fee, it has a long way to go. Premise and concept are good - gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Thanks to Little Beavers Games for providing me with an early access Steam key. Looking forward to this games potential and will absolutely check back in a few months to see if it's progressing and worth a video review/impressions.
For some reason, this game reminds of survival-style State of Decay... albeit a "poorer" version of it. This doesn't mean that it's not an entertaining game though, so hear me out! To put it simply, Creatures Inc is a survival/sandbox game where you are expected to scavenge the many buildings scattered across the map (not all of which are marked on the map so some exploring is necessary) for food, water, crafting materials (only plastic though), weapons (rarely, depending on where you scavenge) or ammo. The sandbox aspect doesn't seem to do much except allow you to build your own house so that you can put crafting stations in it, but there's an issue that will prevent you from doing so (ref: "Where are all the stones?"). To make things a lot more exciting, there are several types of "creatures" that roam the lands, which will track you down like bloodhounds on steroids the moment they see or smell your scent, and although most creatures will chase you for quite a distance, they will eventually leave you alone after a while... or you can just hop into a house and they won't be able to get to you. You can then exit from the back door instead and run like hell.
Watch me play!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UC4uVlrllw I've played the game completely solo for now but I reckon it'll probably be a lot more fun in multiplayer. However, as the game's still in early access, it does have quite a bit of bugs and glitches as well as some illogical - even by game logic - mechanisms that really need to be improved. Here are some of the feedback that I have:
Where are all the stones?
Unlike most survival games that allow you to simply pick up basic materials from the ground, this game has none of that. So, you can't gather stones without a pickaxe BUT you can't craft a pickaxe without stone... see the conundrum here? I've scoured numerous buildings as well and I have found zilch stones that I can just pick up from the ground. Plus, you'll need stone to build all the other crafting stations and stuff for your house too, so you're basically stuck. Note that at least for wood, you can pick up an axe for free at the base you started in. Be sure to run around the place to pick up a spiked baseball bat too just so you can take on the easier creatures while scavenging. So, for goodness sake, please let us at least buy a pickaxe from the store in the safe zone or let us pick one up for free!
Only 2 quests?
I'm pretty sure the online multiplayer, if there's one, in this game is dead, so the devs really need to step up when creating quests for single players to complete. So far, the game only provides 2 quests and in order to take the easiest one, you'll need to have accumulated enough EXP first - just go scavenging and kill some creatures. P/S: I'd highly recommend you to buy the cheapest pistol or find one while scavenging and make sure you've got enough ammo before setting off. You'll also want to grab a vehicle since the questing location is pretty far (from the safe zone). Also, note that there's no need to wait for the dog to catch up to you. You'll still be able to turn the quest in. P/P/S: Getting a dog is pointless in this game. It's not like it'll help you take on enemies or something. It's best to just grab the cash reward and buy yourself a much more powerful gun.
Drivable vehicles
Although a car might look "fine" on the outside, you won't be able to drive it. The game only allows you to drive vehicles, namely SUVs, where the engines are still running, so make sure to keep an ear out for the familiar sound of a running vehicle. Driving in this game is pretty alright but I do have a few issues with the vehicle itself. 1. Why no headlights? It can get really dark at night and you can hardly see anything while driving. 2. If your vehicle do get stuck on a stone/rock because you didn't see it, the Z key which is supposed to help you unstuck your SUV just isn't helpful. If this happens, get ready to run all the way back or at least until you spot another SUV that you can use.
Weird weight system
A water bottle in this game weighs less than 0.5kg but for some reason, after drinking the water, the resulting plastic that you get somehow weights 0.5kg. Some ammo types weigh too much as well. The dev really needs to revamp the weight system! Oh, and note that your inventory is limited by number of slots AND weight, but since most items can be stacked up - you might need to do it manually though, you should have enough space to carry a good deal of items back to your home/base. P/S: Quick tip! There's no point carrying wood around since you can easily get more of them as long as you've got an axe.
Rescuing survivors
Sometimes, you might stumble upon a survivor who's just lying on the ground. Simply talk to him and you can start guiding the fella back to the safe zone. Granted that this is another escort quest, it's at least something different that you can do... besides scavenging. However, I've noticed that these survivors cannot be attacked by the creatures you encounter and hence, cannot die. This does make this escort quest a bit too easy IMHO.
Creatures that are easy to kill
Talking about easy, the game is generally pretty easy to play. I've noticed that the creatures I've encountered - 4 to 5 types now - aren't too difficult to kill, as long as you've got a gun - even a pistol will do - and enough ammo; and you don't get yourself cornered or swarmed.
Out of stock?
Weirdly enough, the vendor at the safe zone sells weapons that are "out of stock". Despite giving the guy some time to restock, it doesn't seem like the store is being restocked at all. Not sure what's really going on here...
Overall
Although Creatures Inc won't be winning any awards soon, I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed playing this game. I enjoy playing games where I'd have to explore and scavenge a lot, and this game somehow managed to scratch that itch... despite not having a whole lot of different items for you to scavenge. At the moment at least, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the game because you basically can't progress further without any stone. Besides the two quests in the game, there's just no endpoint in sight here and it doesn't really feel like you're doing anything meaningful in the game. Leveling up does nothing; having tons of cash does nothing much either. The game just feels underwhelming and eventually, boring. All I'm saying is that the hours it can offer doesn't seem to match up with the price it's asking. Maybe put the game in your wishlist - if you're really interested - and see how this early access game will turn out later. When this first came out, there were 3 of us that could connect and play together. Somewhere down the road, the developers took that option away. The game then became dependant upon the developers' server, which was also short lived. In single game (only thing available now), it started me out with $52. There USED to be axes and bats laying around to be picked up and used. . . . now they cost $100 to $150. Soooooo if a player is starting out with only $52, there are no weapons to be picked up, no way to melee fight, how can he/she survive a creature attack in order to earn money or gather resources. It the major bugs (maybe lack of interest from the Developers for Creatures Inc) to pix this game, makes me not to even want to go near their other games. When the game came out I bought 3 at $9.95 + taxes.
