Puzzles in Rome - Hidden Object Adventure Games
Hidden object game from 2023. As the name suggests, it is a hidden object game. There is also an adventure story, which is of course just a hook, but it is well told compared to other games of this type with a story. First of all, something that divides opinions again, 360° images to search. Either you like it or you don't. This time I'm on the side of those who like it. It's well done. What I don't like is that there are occasionally two of the same search tasks with the same objects in the same picture, but with different positions of the objects. There are different types of search tasks, all with help. And finally, you can play each picture several times to get different badges and more points in the game. I played for two and a half hours and was well entertained, so I recommend it.
Rätsel in Rom - Wimmelbild AbenteuerSpiele
The Chronovisor is a device that allegedly allows its user to see events, like a movie, that occurred at any time in the past. It is alleged that the Vatican is holding and hiding such a device within its walls. Archaeologists like yourself have tried to locate this device for many years without success. But your recent investigation reveals that the Chronovisor is indeed hidden somewhere in Rome! Will you be the one to uncover The Mystery of the Chronovisor - Hidden Objects? Rome: The Mystery of the Chronovisor - is a hidden objects puzzle game developed and self-published by Crisp App Studio on the 20th of May, 2023, on the Steam platform. I’ve played pretty much all the games that Crisp App have published on Steam, and I am a big fan of their 360° panoramic levels lacking in their last couple of titles. But to my surprise and joy, this new game has only 360° panoramic levels! The game is divided into four parts due to the storyline, which I will let you discover, and it is quite a fun little story. You’ll be playing in thirteen of the most iconic locations in Rome, such as the Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Colosseum, and Piazza Navona. You’ll be revisiting these locations many times during this game, and as you only have thirteen locations, you might think that at a certain point, you’ll know where all the objects are hidden within each canvas. Well, you’ll be surprised! Not only do many objects frequently move position within each level, but some will also look different and new objects will be introduced, too. I realised this when I reached part three of the story, and a gamepad appeared as an object to find. From that time, I was more attentive and tried to determine if it was a one-off object or if more new objects would pop up! I can’t recall if this was the case in the first two parts of the game, but it happened a couple more times since I noticed it. The thirteen 360° panoramic images are crystal clear, and many of the objects are perfectly disguised within the images, to the point that on more than one occasion you will miss many objects that you are looking for. It has been a long time since I’ve had to use the hint button in these games, but I am happy to admit that I used it frequently in Rome: The Mystery of the Chronomiser. And before people start telling me it’s time to get new glasses, my current glasses are new, thank you very much! It is very well done. You have to find ten objects per level to complete the game. In most levels, you’ll be given the words of the 10 objects to find, but occasionally, you’ll be shown the objects in the large box at the bottom of your screen. As mentioned, many objects are well-blended in the image, but before using the hint button, you can zoom into the image with the wheel of your mouse to determine if it is one of the items you are looking for. If you are not sure what the word of the object looks like, you can use the image hint button, which is located on the left side of your screen, right next to the menu button. However, you are limited as to how often you can use this function. It will take you around 4 to 5 hours to complete the game, which is a good length for titles of this genre. The graphics are good, with plenty of items to find, and the soundtracks accompany the game very well. I would have loved to have had more locations to play through, as it gets repetitive after you know the images well, but that’s my only negative point for this game; this is one of the best games Crisp App has produced so far. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Great graphics / clear images + Good soundtrack + Easy and fun to play with many objects to find + Fun little story + Achievements Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - A bit repetitive due to the lack of locations - No trading cards as yet. A delightful 360° panoramic level galore with stacks of objects to find! Definitely one of the best games Crisp App Studio has developed so far! 8/10 Key provided by the developer/publisher for review purposes. Any opinions expressed are entirely my own! I didn't read enough about what type of HOG it was. Personally, I like a real story line and puzzles to solve. This one has good graphics, but 12 minutes into it and I was three or four of the same background image with objects just scattered differently, I realized it was not for me. Requested and just received my refund...
This is a hidden object search game. Relaxing gameplay with cute graphics. Definitely, the game is one of the best in this genre.
The next entry in the developer’s series of casual hidden object game with basic gameplay and low price. It's not crucial to know the main plot, which is merely utilized to direct you through the scenes in a linear order. Although it's nice to have something in games that gives meaning to your actions, it's perfectly alight to skip over story segments. The first time you see the pictures, you'll remember those original games that established the HOG genre. I'm referring to scenes that are overcrowded with items that appear to have been poorly photoshopped. Every object looks like stock image that has simply been scaled down and placed on an identical stock background. Even though "random" is a common theme, it only happens a few times that items feel out of place. Someone took care to include objects that might be found on real-world locations. I also appreciate that the settings don't resemble a trash dump. Each time you begin a new round, a small number of items are randomly places around the scene. The tiny difference is related to scenes. Because you may scroll around as in panorama mode, they are not static. It has a decent amount of items on the screen, which I appreciate because it doesn't make finding objects challenging. The main gameplay hasn’t changed: comb the scenes for objects that are written on the list. The discovered object is then taken off the list. There are no logic puzzles, which represent an important part of today's HOGs. And if you're going for that authentic, old-school experience, that's actually a good thing. Points serve as a gauge of your performance. Being swift and accurate is the way to go. A timer that starts when the first object is found is only active for a brief period of time. You raise the total multiplier if you locate the following item before the countdown expires. Hint: before clicking on the first object, make a note of where each item on the list is located in order to gain the most points.
...Amazingly beautiful locations... I can see that the artists did a great job on this game. + It also develops reaction and logical thinking + "Collections" draws you in even more excitement and you're fixated only on finding an item as quickly and as much as possible + MASSONS. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! AND EVERYWHERE! + Oh...the Vatican...how many secrets you hide. I like this & It works even for kids.
Way too repetitive. Same couple of scenes, you have to keep searching it over and over, and you never get to move forward. I was so bored, I had to delete it before completion, and i never do that.
