Rogue Trooper

This game actually holds up remarkably well! The combat is really fun and interesting, and the "living" equipment mechanic is really unique and fun. Really enjoying my time with this one!

Rogue Trooper is a 3rd person shooter from my childhood. My first ever playthrough came after I got my first computer system back in 2017/2018 after I had gotten sunk into CSGO and other easier-to-run games. I enioyed the campaign back then (being a teen it isn't that big a stretch to imagine I fell in love with the simplistic yet addictive combat) and find that replaying it fills me with just as much joy. The game is very much a product of tis time but that is a good thing. It's janky and counter-intuitive with a old school '2 kool 4 skool' kind of punch to it. If you enjoy a sassy and sarcastic dialog you'll enjoy the characters in this. On top of the dialog the women in this game are actually attractive and offer more than just a political mouthpiece for gaming studios. This is my current 3rd playthrough in total and I am enjoying the first few missions. Since my library is extensive it'll take a while to focus specifically on this but I intend to complete it wholly and with the utmost care. All in all this is a worthwhile experience and I would reccomend it if you are looking for non-modern games to sink hours into. Sure, it as quick as you make it but you'll find (I hope as I do) that time flies by as you dive within its world. I am blue. Da ba dee. Da ba dai.

One of the best 3rd person shooters I've ever played, even if the mechanics take [b] a bit [/b] of a getting used to. Rogue Trooper is daring and intense whilst instinctive and comprehensible. It's a game for people born in the late 80s to early 90s, or if you just love games from the era in which the story mattered just as much if not more than the graphics. However, if graphics [b] do matter that much [/b] to you, you can play the Redux version instead, though the original Rogue Tropper doesn't look half bad at all (and you can run this game in old setups). Overall, 8.8/10 for me. [spoiler] I was cursing everything at the final stage. I hate those flying blue things that turn red and give chase. [/spoiler]

Той випадок, коли можна сказати, що твої друзі лише інструменти))) Цікава задумка і я б пограв би продовження, якби було і тепер хочу глянути комікси, за мотивами яких зробили гру, якщо правильно зрозумів. Цікаво, як себе покаже ремастер. Шкода, що сюжет дещо просідає, цікаво, чи він взятий з коміксу(((
