Жвачка. Да, технически и концептуально неплохо получилось. Но вся игра ни о чём. Вообще. Кто-то такие жанры любит, наверное. Полагаю, дети и любители "погамать в чёнить" под певко после работы. Но не я.
If you love platformers, I recommend this game. Easy controls, funny gameplay. What more can you ask for? The addiction of moustaches and hats is a great touch. 9/10
A bit too easy, the starting weapon can carry your entire game if you stack medpacks with it. Still, the game is a lot of fun and fast paced.
Rogue Stache, developed by WubsGames and published by WubsGames together with BlackShellMedia, is a fast-paced 2D action roguelike that combines procedural generation, frantic gunplay, and tongue-in-cheek humor into a compact indie package. Released on Steam in 2019, it positions itself squarely within the arcade-inspired roguelite space, drawing clear inspiration from genre staples while attempting to carve out its own identity through stylized pixel art and an irreverent mustache-themed premise. At its core, Rogue Stache is about momentum. Each run drops players into procedurally generated stages filled with enemies, hazards, and randomized loot. Movement is fluid and responsive, encouraging constant repositioning and aggressive engagement. Rather than emphasizing slow, methodical play, the game rewards quick reflexes and bold strategies. Dodging incoming projectiles while unloading a barrage of gunfire becomes second nature as players adapt to escalating waves of foes. The pacing rarely slows, keeping tension high throughout each session. Combat serves as the primary highlight. The arsenal includes a variety of firearms and power-ups, each with distinct firing patterns and mechanical quirks. Some weapons favor rapid-fire suppression, while others deliver powerful bursts at the cost of precision or reload time. Upgrades acquired during runs alter performance in meaningful ways, allowing players to tailor their approach depending on available drops. The randomness of item distribution ensures that no two runs feel identical, and experimentation with builds becomes part of the appeal. Boss encounters provide structural peaks within the otherwise relentless action loop. These larger enemies introduce more complex attack patterns and demand greater situational awareness. Unlike standard enemies that can often be overwhelmed with sustained fire, bosses require movement mastery and strategic timing. Overcoming these fights delivers a satisfying sense of accomplishment, particularly when done under less-than-ideal equipment circumstances. Visually, Rogue Stache leans heavily into retro-inspired pixel art. Character sprites are expressive, and environments maintain clarity even amid chaotic firefights. Explosions and weapon effects are exaggerated just enough to provide impact without cluttering the screen. The game’s aesthetic complements its lighthearted tone, especially with its exaggerated mustache theme woven into character design and humor. The soundtrack reinforces the arcade feel, featuring energetic tracks that match the tempo of combat. Progression follows a roguelite structure, with unlockables and upgrades gradually expanding available content across multiple runs. Hats, weapons, and passive enhancements provide incremental growth that encourages replayability. While the overall content pool is not expansive compared to larger roguelikes, the cyclical structure of short, action-heavy sessions makes repeated play appealing in smaller doses. However, the game’s scope remains modest. Over extended play sessions, environmental variety can feel limited, and enemy types may begin to repeat without significant mechanical evolution. The procedural generation system introduces layout changes but does not radically alter stage themes or objectives. As a result, long-term replayability depends heavily on enjoyment of the core shooting mechanics rather than on discovering new content layers. Despite its limitations, Rogue Stache succeeds in delivering a focused, high-energy experience. Its accessible controls, satisfying weapon feedback, and brisk pacing make it easy to pick up while still offering room for skill mastery. The game does not attempt to redefine the roguelike genre, but it effectively captures the thrill of arcade-style repetition and build experimentation within a compact framework. Ultimately, Rogue Stache stands as a solid indie entry in the action roguelike category. It offers fast, responsive combat, charming pixel art, and enough procedural variation to sustain short-term engagement. While it may lack the depth and content breadth of larger genre leaders, it provides an entertaining and approachable experience for players seeking quick bursts of chaotic, mustache-powered gunplay. Rating: 7/10
I love it. Ir plays smoothly, the upgrades are fun, not too difficult to play, not too easy too. all the right things on the right time.
First impressions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HZ6y-M0QkE So as soon as I saw the title of this game, I just *had* to request a key for it.. I mean who *doesn't* want to play a manly game about saving the world from the loss of moustaches! I've even grown a moustache just to play it! It's hard, very hard.. but it IS a roguelike after all!
This game is fun, a lot of fun actually. but it needs a massive amount of more content. Maybe on the hat slot machine, there could be a hat jackpot where you get an epic tier hat. Needs more guns. needs armor. needs more centent. I would recommend this if you are bored, for casual play. IMHO the developers could make this epic, but its just OK at the moment.
