Based on the board game, Rogue Dungeon is a solo dungeon crawler. It plays like an old-school roguelike, using hand management, card draw and dice rolling as primary game mechanics. Players will need to figure out how best to use their hero abilities, skills, items, experience and luck to survive.

I haven't played the board game, however, I have given this game 6 hours in its current state and unfortunately it is punitively random. Yes, there are some strategies you can employ to swing some of the randomness your way, however, there's not much you can do once the dice start swinging against you. Last game I played I burned 3 re-rolls in a combat and rolled 1,1,2,1 - and there's nothing you can do about that :( If the dice roller was based on 2d6 instead of 1d10, it would go a long way to alleviating much of the randomness.
Fantastic game. People leaving negative reviews dont get it, this is a risk management game, much like Space Hulk, or Blood Bowl. There is a lot of dice roll and randomness and its meant to be hard. To combat this you are given rerolls, weapons, armor, magic and special items. The dungeon is deadly, and thats what makes it fun to play. All this is rapped in a very thematic dungeon crawler theme. EXCELLENT They just added a campaign which I am really liking. Here you are given a lot of different types of dungeons that different heroes will do better in and its a breath of fresh air. Lots to this game, have fun.
Ok so this game is a very interesting one. On one hand I can kinda see how luck of the dice and the difficulty does turn people off. However I do admit that this feels like one of those old classic dungeon crawlers from back in the day (Aka Wizardry and DungeonMaster) All in all this is a game for people who love dungeon crawlers not just for the adventure, but the commitment one must make. Would rate this game 10/10 would die again...and again...and again
This game is a lot of fun. They did a good job of translating the board game to a digital game. I unlocked all the characters and still like to play it every night. Each run is a good challenge. I like the art and the music. Gives the game a nice dungeon crawl atmosphere. I hope they release more expansions for this. My brother and I both really enjoy playing this game. Easily worth the $10 with all the replay. If you like dungeon crawl/rogue games then you should check this one out.
A great game that deserves more attention. I own the board game, but actually think I prefer this digital implementation — it really let's me focus on the dungeon puzzle instead of splitting attention with managing board state. The digital version uses the 1st edition ruleset, it would be great to see it updated to incorporate 2nd edition rules. Not a big deal though as there's not a huge amount of difference.
Fantastic Digital implementation of the physical board game.
Beautiful old school dungeon crawl ,from boardgame to a digital format....but it needs more patches for fixing crashing issues .After dozens of play in campaign mode I decided to play the non campaign mode...There I realise that the game is crashing in the beging or remain stuck in the intro page....Any idea? or any news about a later patch?
A fun digital version of a great board game. Gives a really old school tabletop vibe.
Huge, huge fun and addicting as you could possibly imagine...
UI is so bad, that is barely playable. maybe on mobiles that's would acceptable, but on PC it is too painful.
