About
High-speed vehicular combat racing set in the world of Road Defense: Outsiders. Drive, shoot, destroy, and upgrade your car across 30 dangerous tracks. Battle armed rivals and survive attacks from a hostile crowd while earning cash to upgrade your vehicle.
In Road Defense Racing, speed alone won’t win the race. To come out on top, you’ll need to survive the chaos of the track. Armed drivers fight for every corner while the crowd around the circuit turns the race into an unpredictable arena.
Earn money by destroying rivals and smashing track objects, unlock new weapons, and upgrade your car to take on increasingly intense circuits.
Enter races where speed and destruction go hand in hand. Fire at rivals, dodge incoming attacks, and fight your way to victory as cars exchange gunfire at full speed.
The threat doesn’t come only from rival drivers. The crowd around the track can also attack vehicles, turning every race into a hostile environment where a single mistake can cost you the win.
Use a wide arsenal to dominate the race. Equip rifles, missile launchers, land mines, and shotguns to destroy opponents and clear your path to the lead.
Earn money by smashing objects, running through obstacles, and surviving the race. Invest in engine, tire, nitro, and armor upgrades to make your car faster and more durable.

It’s impossible not to compare it to the classic Rock N' Roll Racing, given their obvious similarities. As it was developed by just one person, the scope is clearly smaller, yet you can appreciate the excellent work that’s gone into recreating some of its vibe and feel. There are 30 levels, which follow on in sequence, and upon completing each one, you can buy upgrades, as well as four types of weapons, for which you can purchase infinite ammunition (I’ve managed to get 100 mines, 2,000 shots, 50 missiles, etc), which brings us straight to one of its most obvious flaws: the balance. Money is earned very easily, and the lack of limits on weapons makes it simple to make it chaotic. The other flaw, in my opinion, is the camera, it feels too zoomed in, and as the tracks are short, this tilts the gameplay even further towards combat at the expense of the racing aspect. Even so, its aesthetics and controls are close enough to the original to please those feeling nostalgic, and the 30 levels are varied, as they introduce several elements such as neutral enemies, jumps, aerial bombardments and other surprises to keep things fresh. For the price, I think it’s fine, although it’s impossible not to think about the wasted potential. It could have been so much more. this review is positive just because this is a very cheap indie game, but the game is meh in the current state: - starting a fist race w/o any weapon is a very frustrating experience - progression and economy are unbalanced and broken - a camera is extremely close to a car, there is no change to react to turns even with arrows on a road - visuals are very limited, even rock'n'roll racing had 16 bits visuals
Pure essence of 80s/90s Arcades! 🕹️ Road Defense Racing delivers exactly what it promises: speed, destruction, and an amazing feeling of nostalgia. The isometric perspective combined with the pixel art immediately reminded me of the best moments from the vehicular combat games of my childhood. The twist here is that even the track and the crowd try to kill you, turning the circuit into a true post-apocalyptic arena. The upgrade system (engine, armor, weapons) is extremely satisfying.Fair price, addictive gameplay, and a soundtrack that sets the perfect rhythm for destruction. Buy it without hesitation!
If you're passing by this store page and wondering if this game is worth it... YES! It is. I bought it for $2.39 on Sale so it was a steal. You are probably like me and had R.C. PRO-AM back in the day (still do).. it was a very popular game back then. One of the best racing games on the NES. This game is basically R.C. PRO-AM with its own flavor, it really is a true successor to the name. The gameplay is actually really fun and addicting. The issues I have with the game are not really big problems. For example; I wish it was a little more colorful... everything looks brown. I wish the music was done in 8bit and I wish I could play it online against my buddies... Other DEVS would've charged you over $10 for this kind of quality. I highly recommend this game especially to RETRO gamers... I would even recommend it to people who aren't really into racing games. Very fun. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUnI9-XqvIA
Primera Impresión. Juegalo, no te arrepentirás, intuitivo, divertido, variado y con curva de dificultad muy bien ajustada.
Fun game. Absolutely broken. One of the easiest games to get all achievements. It's a 6.5/11 for me, Could be a solid 8 if it was more challenging and also if you couldn't fill the map with mines.
Loved the demo, was more than happy to play the full game. Fun gameplay, reminds a lot of Road Rash or Death Rally
The game was a alot of fun, before I knew it I had a solid 97 mins into it before completing it. If you want something to chill and relax, this is a fun one!
