About
Charming retro action arcade shooter with roguelite elements (and a pet space worm!).
The dastardly humans have achieved interstellar spaceflight once more and are spreading throughout the galaxy like a virus. The call has gone out: it is time to send them back to the Stone Age once again, for the good of all alienkind.
Regrettably, the council has ignored the human threat and left the Intergalactic Space Force with a razor-thin budget. Your ship maintenance bar must be managed, and when it empties, you will have to handle critical breakage events, which always happen at - the worst - possible time.
Battle through waves of human ships, keep your spacecraft in one piece, upgrade your ship to absurd levels, and protect your space station. Upon death, you'll receive retrofit options that change the gameplay experience for your next space battle.
Gather as many salvage gems as you can before they disappear (you'll need them for upgrades!)
Keep an eye on your maintenance meter (bottom left) to be prepared for sudden breakdowns
Get ALL the absurd, OP upgrades
Grab a controller for a twin-stick shooter experience, or play with your mouse and WASD (as the PC overlords intended)
See how you stack up against your friends with Steam Leaderboards
Innovative maintenance mechanic: taking damage won't kill you, but your ship's impaired systems will make defending your space station that much harder

Engaging and nostalgic. Fun little roguelite twin-stick shooter that has a decent bit of depth to it. The core mechanics are solid and I'm having a lot of fun playing it when I have brief moments of down time.
Feels nostalgic, like a retro arcade game except it rewards your progress in prior attempts. I started blasting the little space ships and got hooked. It's becoming a problem. My wife has threatened to divorce me and take custody of our 7 children. The space station is my child now. And I shall eviscerate all who would hurt it.
Genuinely brilliant, probably would have been an all-time arcade classic. Different builds work better for different playstyles and against certain enemy types, which gives it a ton of replayability, and being able to spend your credits on permanent upgrades after the end of the game is huge. Very intelligent game design, by your first game you'll already be able to identify what different enemy ships do, text is kept to a minimum. I can't shake the feeling this will be on everyone's phones in 2 years' time.
Fun game!
Yeah, pretty good. I could never program this! I can only make it to wave ten, probably because I just suck, lol
If you like the old asteroids game this is asteroids max plus. It is nice. Also there are no asteroids.
Brilliant little roguelite. I love the score board, random upgrades after runs. One thing I would like is to see my current score in the run.
Humanity never stood a chance.
For the developer’s first game, it’s pretty decent, but it gets repetitive fairly quickly for a few reasons: 1. It’s the same waves over and over. If you die on Wave 6, you have to replay Wave 1, 2, 3, etc. all the way back until you reach 6 again. 2. There isn’t much enemy variety. Enemies mostly just move and shoot—some are tankier, others are faster and rush the main ship—so it ends up feeling very similar. 3. The upgrades are basically the same every run. The main goal becomes grinding for upgrades, and that can get boring pretty fast. Still, I’d recommend it if you just want to chill and have some quick fun, especially if you enjoy simple wave-based shooters.
Nice cute artstyle, the mix of maintenance minigames combined with the bullet heaven/base defense worked very well. Interesting metaprogression choices too. My only complaint is IMO the ingame music is a bit too repetitive/short a loop. To the dev... I am so sorry it took me this long to get around to checking it out, the last few months have been hectic! 💛
