For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About
Rise of the Third Power is a love letter to the golden age of console RPGs, blending nostalgic pixel art and classic turn-based gameplay with modern conveniences like auto-save, streamlined progression, and refined game design. Combining the best of Japanese and Western RPG traditions, it delivers a sweeping adventure of war, politics, and unforgettable heroes.

STORY DRIVEN - Join a party of eight, each with their own unique ambitions, perspectives and personalities as they embark upon a suicide mission to topple the Arkadyan emperor, Dimitri Noraskov. A blend of humor, drama and tragedy await players as they navigate the treacherous world of Rin.
POLITICAL INTRIGUE - As the world of Rin recovers from the Great War, the balance of power remains badly skewed, with vacuums of power still waiting to be filled. The player's party will be both beset and aided by schemers, liars and betrayers, all while the clock ticks down to a reprise of the greatest war in human history.
CUSTOM BATTLE SYSTEM - Rise of the Third Power offers eight playable characters in a battle system built from scratch, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, all of whom are meant to participate in battle simultaneously without the need for tedious party management. Combine each character's unique powers and disadvantages, analyze the abilities of your foes, set your formation and charge into battle.
PERSISTENT EQUIPMENT - Each piece of equipment found, purchased or stolen is a permanent, unique upgrade for each character. Instead of purchasing replacements, the player purchases upgrades. No more buying that awesome helmet back in town only to stumble over a better one as treasure in a dungeon. Each character has 2 weapons, an accessory, and 10 equipment slots to craft upgrades for, with 80 craftables in total. This system avoids the tedium of inventory management, while also giving the completionist something useful to hunt for.

Fifteen years after the Great War, the world stands on the brink of another catastrophe. The Arkadyan Empire has risen from the ashes under the charismatic and ruthless Dimitri Noraskov, whose relentless expansion threatens to plunge the continent into a new era of bloodshed.
Determined to stop history from repeating itself, the young prince Rowan joins forces with the brilliant spy Corrina and the mysterious princess Arielle. Together, the three embark on a dangerous journey across a politically fractured world, forging unlikely alliances, confronting powerful enemies, and uncovering conspiracies that could decide the fate of nations.
As war draws ever closer, their choices will shape the future of the continent—and determine whether peace still has a chance to survive.

https://youtu.be/ckyvv3T-pOo Delivering on some interesting combat mechanics that builds synergies and unique feeling characters go a long way for a pixel art RPG.
This game feels like it punches above its weight. A lot of indie RPGs at a similar price point and scope just aren't very good. And yet, weirdly, the writing in Rise of the Third Power hits hard. I expected it to be surface level, and got caught off guard by how many challenging narrative turns it took, and how much I felt for the characters at their lowest point. The combat is also really fun, with tons of room for clever strategizing in every fight. I've played it twice and will probably play it again in the future.

A really, really good jrpg! Great story and characters. The game uses post WW1 Germany as inspiration for it's villain country, and the game kind of goes from there. For a JRPG fantasy game it's fairly grounded, and the story is more on the political side which I really liked, as it was so different from most games. As mentioned above the characters are all good, with a few stand outs, the princess actually being probably the best and often funniest intentionally, or unintentionally. The music is also terrific. Combat is fairly basic but good, and does feature character swapping, though you are limited in how many times you can do it each fight which is an neat twist. I do wish the game had bit more system/mini game wise, but it is pretty much just combat/story. There is a "crafting system" but it's just upgrading your fixed set of gear as you progress through the game. Loot is money, potions, or resources to upgrade gear and is usually uninteresting. Those are the only weaknesses in an otherwise terrific game. Also, and I thank the devs for this, you can pet most of the dogs and cats in the game, I loved that!
Nice story and mechanics
This is what an old school game with new school design feels like IMO. Combat is snappy. Moving through the UI is simple and reactive. All of the characters only have a small number of skills and customization but I felt engaged in combat throughout the entire game. I played it on the hardest difficulty and was never stumped, although I had to pay attention to what abilities I had and what my enemies were doing throughout. I did not grind although I defeated every enemy in every area once until later when I started skipping some enemies. The characters are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess 😂. Everyone has flaws. Some have a lot more than you'd expect from RPG protagonists. And they do not have any sort of immediate growth, although there is certainly growth throughout. They do act in ways that make sense to me given their histories and personalities though. Plotwise you'll certainly see some things coming but there are still some good twists. It had me laughing quite a few times as well. Overall I felt it was, at worst, better than average writing both in plot and characters. I have one main complaint, although I'd say it is fairly minor overall. The terrain/mapping is very detailed. I think they went overboard, because a large number of the terrain pieces and such cannot be traversed, meaning pathing through some areas is less intuitive than I expected but it is something I got used to.

Just finished the game on Hard, completed all the side quests and achievements along the way. This game is everything I hoped for and so much more when I bought it. The story and music were top tier, and the 2D graphics were supremely nostalgic. The characters have true growth throughout the entire store and at the end I hated to see the story start to wrap up and the characters resolve to their post adventure lives. An absolute gem that I hope more people take a chance on and experience!
