DON'T BUY IT DON'T BUY IT DON'T BUY IT No news for more than 6 months, but the developer is still active on social networks to sell his game still in alpha. This is a scam. DON'T BUY IT DON'T BUY IT DON'T BUY IT
At its current state, this game is not worth the money the dev asks for it and more importantly, your precious life hours. Its boring, repetitive, shallow and broken by many bugs, even for a game in early access there are way too many bugs. There is no balance and it's far more linear than it should be. (I Killed 1 deer after 12 tries! sending 2 guys every time! thats 24 tries!!!! ... sorry but these guys weren't called hunter/gatherers for nothing, they knew how to hunt and they did it in groups!) Last but not least, It lacks realism and accurate presentation of the era it supposedly depicts. Is it early Paleolithic? no... these are clearly ♥♥♥♥ sapiens we see in the game, so it must be mesolithic then, no...wait! is it Neolithic? no because that would include (farming, herding, polished stone axes, timber longhouses and pottery) etc A few tips for the developer: 1.According to the latest evidence the earliest ♥♥♥♥ sapiens evolved as a seperate branch from the H. Erectus roughly 315.000 BP (Before present), so that would put your game concept at the Middle Stone Age (Middle Paleolithic). My opinion is that your best bet would be Later Stone Age (Upper Paleolithic) because The Upper Paleolithic has the earliest known evidence of organized settlements, in the form of campsites. If you want to present "The rise of man" from stone age to the neolithic age that's an entire different ball game. 2. Before you implement new things make sure the old ones work sufficiently enough. 3. Most common Animal food sources of the era: Gazelle, Wild equids, Wild boar, Deer, Wild cattle, Ibex, Wild goat,Wild sheep and fish. 4. Upper Paleolithic tools where made from varius materials bone, ivory, and antler, as well as stone. 5. Humans in Central Africa used some of the earliest harpoon points, to spear huge prehistoric catfish weighing as much as 68 kg (150 lb)–enough to feed 80 people for two days. Later, humans used harpoons to hunt large, fast marine mammals. 6. Around 60.000 BP ♥♥♥♥ sapiens creates complex hunting techniques, such as pit-traps. 7. If you want to keep things more generalized Neolithic is the era you need to go, then you could include larger huts made out of wood and burial places and much more. 8. Our ancestors where much more fit, they could go for hours doing incredibely energy consuming tasks without blinking an eye. Your energy system is wrong and after awhile is boring as hell. The game has potential and its a nice idea but only that. Although I bought it, at the moment I cannot recommend this game, I hope the dev continues to work on it cause as i said its a great unique idea. PS: Just put the resources menu on top of the screen, where it is now on the left, its just (another) a problem.
I bought this game for $3.29 on sale from $10.99 retail. I played for 2 hours over 3 seperate sessions. In that time i had gone as far a the tech tree would allow until the next technology said "coming soon" When i saw that it killed everything. Other than the fact that the games tech tree isnt finished, and super limited, the game is very buggy and ultra painfully repetitive. I requested my $3.29 back and was refunded. Dont let pretty cinematics fool you into wasting your money AND time on this title.
Steam needs to remove this game. it is horrible and the Dev hasnt made any updates since 2017
Even for early access this game is in a terrible state right now. Even if the devs add content, the overall gameplay is so poor I can't recommend it. 1. The camera controls pan at the speed of molasses 2. Tedious individual citizen management. You seriously have to send orders for your people to do ANYTHING. The game in this state is just you assigning your citizens to gather food/wood/stone every 10 seconds. 3. Almost no content or anything to do. Yes, its EA, but releasing a few pixels is not enough for you to be charging money. 4. Your citizens can perform ~4 tasks per day before they have to rest. If this game is going for a truly realistic experience, thats fine. But prepare to be extremely bored. 5. Graphics, sound, music, movement, visuals are all very poor. 6. Fatal game crash errors (this one is expected though for EA). Devs: I understand the need for financial support while building a game, but releasing it as "EA" in this state was a very bad decision. There is nothing to do and the things that you can do are broken and boring. I will maybe revisit when a TON of new content is released. As it stands right now, please do not waste your time and money.
Описание:
Китайская игра которая каждые 30 секунд вылетает... Ну и даже если бы не вылетала то это заброшенный очень ранний доступ. Но хотелось хоть поглядеть. Accidentaly bought it for 2 € because I thought it was "Dawn of Man". Well let me tell you: 2€ is still way too high a price for this game. It's super slow. and you can barely do anything. Graphics are not great and the map is suuuper tiny. I honestly believe that I'm able to make a more sophisticated game using only blueprints in UE4. Sorry^^
As so many others have pointed out - this game has limited features and there have been no updates since 23-Dec-2017. The game is 'playable' in that for me it did not crash and it responded to mouse & keyboard commands. I don't see a lot of evidence of any real game in there; it just kind of simulates one interpretation of prehistoric life with a handful of simplistic tasks. There are six resources and four villagers. There are maybe 10 workstations to build? (I stopped playing before reaching the end of anything meaningful.) There is no Tech tree but I vaguely recall 'unlocking' newer workstations to build. Once the workstation is built you can build a tool to improve a task; for example building a hand ax to improve the collection of wood. Villagers run out of energy and require sleep and food to recover energy. There are no RPG elements; the four villagers are generic collect-bots. I think I just described the entire gameplay! Graphics are like mid-1990's quality. Boring, forgettable, and easy to put down and NEVER pick up again.
This game is incomplete and appears abandoned (years since last update). Took quite a while to get to the point where you realize a " grass hut" is the most advanced structure you can build. I want my money back
no update since 2020 and even then there was very little content. pretty sure the dev ran with the little bit of money he got..if the game starts to update i will change this review, but not until then.
