Rise of Insanity gave me strong Shutter Island vibes (the Leonardo DiCaprio movie), especially in how the story slowly messes with your head. It’s a psychological horror game that focuses more on atmosphere, story, and perspective. It’s more about unease, confusion, and piecing things together as you move forward. The environments and narrative do a good job of keeping you curious about what’s actually going on. Gameplay is short, roughly 2 hours, worth a try.
in one word: unimpressed. this game bombards the player with the cheapest, stupidest, opposite-to-scary jumpscares which makes it so boring. it tries so desperately to scare you, at one point I thought about gasping (if anything) just to make it feel a bit better for its efforts. but gosh just think... if you make a game where EVERYTHING is 'scary', nothing is. as expected, the woman is reduced to being a male's wife, a male's mother, a murder victim (in the hands of a male). the full combo. I don't know what the hell the point of the fortune teller is. Would the term 'toxic father-son relation' would really be used in the 70s? Yet another story of a man murdering his family and painting him as the victim of something greater. If you don't see the twist coming, you were either paying no attention or you were gaslighting yourself. The trial scene makes absolutely no sense when you know the nature of Edward. Hell, it doesn't make sense that Edward's last name is an FBI-protected secret. Final note: I'm so tired of males using horrible mental illneses for their cheap 'horror' stories, especially using them as a vehicle of male violence against women. y'all have been murdering women since the dawn of time and never needed an excuse other than to lie to yourselves and keep believing you're heroes when you are the reason the world is on fire.
I initially expected the game to be building up a certain expectation to subvert it, but it really was just very predictable. Visually it's quite nice, and it has some good elements, but what destroys it for me is the terrible english. It's fine if it is not your first language, but so many typos and grammatical mistakes just shows a lack of professionalism. Have it proofread/checked then. "She made suicide"; "was pregnant with the defendant" etc.

Yeahhhh F>>>k that, i'm not playing this game anymore. [JUMP OUT SCARY]
A very boring game.
The game has a great story full of twists, it plays with your mind. Jump scares are actually scary. Awesome storytelling horror game, it is pretty short tho. I can't complain about the graphics. Definitely worth a try.
