Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

After having played it for a while, I sorta lost sight of what made it fun.

OpenTTD except it costs money
the game breaks so often that its too much sunk cost for time. probably one of the most buggy sim games you could play, and the devs don't seem to have done much with fixing them since the same bugs i get now were the same ones i had years ago when i first played. not worth the money, and definitely not worth the wasted time.
I got it at a 86% discount and I think it is worth that price (Normal price being almost 50 bucks of writing this), however it's usual price is far too much for what is a very basic economic simulator game. The logistics of this game especially so, it feels like it could use more tweaks and depth to them especially if you like having creativity in your logistical designs. For example roads in this game are very basic, no roundabouts or traffic lights nor customisation of any of the intersections either. Without those features it becomes a lot harder to min max the output of certain buildings, especially logistical hubs like warehouses that I constantly had to struggle with getting the throughput as cost efficient as possible. Once I figured out that maximum it did not really improve all too much in the end game since the upgrades you get are very lacking in any substantial improvements despite the high costs and time invested in getting the high end products. Another big thing is the lack of a lot of the expected quality of life features that I would expect in a almost 50 buck game like moving your buildings. Which made me rage quit for a couple hours once I figured the only way to move my warehouse because traffic was getting too backed up and it was placed near a city, was to bulldoze it. Then after placing it in a better spot I had to reset all the routes manually not only from it's routes to other places but all the previous routes other places had going to it. Which felt really punishing for me personally especially since I had not been made aware I'd have to basically future proof all my logistics. On top of that is the constant amount of micromanaging which albeit gives you something to do when u start, it becomes really annoying when u have larger operations. Which wouldn't be too bad of a problem if there wasn't so many things that constantly reset my settings like for example. Setting a higher range for a warehouse reset all the toggled off routes that warehouse so I had to manually toggle them off again. Among other issues when it comes to path finding and the horror that is road traffic. The business side of things seemed rather lacking, the other company don't do much aside from buy land before you so you can no longer use it, otherwise the interactions are pretty limited. It was relatively easy to keep a good steady cash flow and as long as you are able to buy at least one permit you were pretty much golden for the rest of the game to the point I'd almost forgot that I wasn't alone. That and buying all the stocks in other company don't feel rewarding enough to go for them unless I was in such a lead where I had enough pocket change to just buy em out and then steal their land (afaik u can't use their buildings even after buying them out which felt unrewarding for the effort I went to get them on my first real playthrough) Lastly my biggest gripe is the lack of a proper tutorial, there is one but it did not do a good job at explaining all the features of the game nor does the game make it really obvious how best to do things. For example I was never told how to take loans, I looked in the financial report, wasn't there, I looked in my budget tab, not there either. I had to look online and find out you had to go to your headquarters to take out a loan which felt convoluted to me. Which wouldn't be a big issue by itself but this game really does not teach you half of the mechanics of the game like zeppelins and docks for example. Nor how to even find customers for some of the high end goods and it did not go into any detail about having to upgrade your towns either. So you end up having to go online for a lot of different things and since this is not a well known franchise you sometimes have to go looking real deep to the point where it starts eating up your playtime. It is still worth getting at a discount as it does at least attempt to scratch a specific itch I've been having (that old transport tycoon X business/eco sim itch) even if it doesn't really do the job. It does the job well enough to the point where I don't regret my purchase.
It leaves a lot to be desired... Rise of Industry puts players in charge of building and managing their own industrial empire. The game is set in the early 20th century and features a complex supply chain system that allows players to produce and distribute a variety of goods. The gameplay is centered around managing resources, researching new technologies, and building factories and transportation networks. It had the potential to be an engaging and entertaining experience, but unfortunately, the execution of the game left a lot to be desired. Although the premise was promising, the gameplay was lacking in variation and depth, quickly becoming repetitive and tedious. Additionally, while the graphics initially looked interesting and unique, but it did not take long for it to become tiresome and dull, failing to capture the imagination or stimulate the senses. The overall result was a game that failed to meet the expectations or to deliver an enjoyable gaming experience. While it may hold some appeal to die-hard fans of the genre, I cannot recommend Rise of Industry to a wider audience. There are simply too many other games out there that offer a more immersive and engaging experience.
Not a bad game at all, but I was expecting a more enjoyable experience, especially at the current price point. The tutorial could do a better job at preparing you for playing the game. Some of the terms and mechanics are poorly explained. Also I did not appreciate the game using 100% of my graphics card on a new map, independent of the visual settings, frame rate, or resolution. What really annoyed me though was the tedious aspects of the game such as setting destinations per warehouse, having to tweak destinations for every contract, and especially the lack of ability to copy settings between warehouses. The latter really makes it feel like a chore to do any type of traffic fixing / local space optimization. With a (micro)management game like this, having a good UI is critical, and when seeing UI patterns which do not scale at all (like the clumsy narrow-view list of outgoing products or destinations), I could already foresee my frustrations getting worse during the late-game stage.

Original Developer is a real wimp and game is a cash grab. They never really finished the product and it was left behind with bad UI and a bad way to optain information. My only interaction on discord was unpleasant. Instead of making a good finished product they just started on a new game and had than to sell the game for what he called, what was it, a "penny"? Well maybe finish ur game next time and make a good product u can continue to sell? The 20 hours I put it weren't really fun, and I just stopped playing. It is just some game, nothing special to talk about. I regret spending money on it and not refunding.
A good game that feels like an updated version of Industry Giants or OpenTTD, if you dig logistic simulators. This is fun up until a certain point where everything starts getting tangled up, more on that later. If I could give this a neutral rating, I would. Quick pros and cons: PROS: + Good entry in a very limited genre + I enjoy the cel-shaded graphics CONS: - At a certain point, it becomes less about logistics and more about wrangling your traffic and having the perfect setup. At times it felt like I was playing Cities Skylines, which is a fine game but I'm playing a logistics simulator, not a city builder. I've seen some of the layouts from much better players, and they're more like circuit boards than an actual road system (like Factorio). Major mood killer for me. - Price isn't affected by distance and sky high transport costs eat up the purpose of moving said goods, which makes anything but trucks next to useless and/or niche. Instead of building a chain, the main strategy is to build localized hubs as close to towns as you can. Very disappointing, because I love trains and that's the whole purpose of train transport. -Very vague UI. You can't find specific information, just compilations of data. Sure a factory might be losing money, but which one?? -Original dev sold off the rights, so this is probably abandoned. The game isn't terrible, it's just that I wanted an itch scratched but there are other ways to scratch this itch. If I wanted to wrangle traffic, I would play Cities Skyline. If I wanted to make a well-oiled manufacturing hub, I would play Factorio. If I want logistics, I would do Industry Giants 2 or OpenTTD.
