[h1][b]★★★☆☆[/b][/h1] First and foremost: this is a mobile game, so its interface and the pacing is build as one. It is also cheaper on iOS (4 euros). A stylistic tower-defence game that lacks a lot of room for the player to explore, leading to a lot of trial-and-error. Each level consists of a street or more with adjacent buildings. You've to figure out which store will be active in the preset buildings so that every customer eventually emptied its wallet by the end of the street. There are no differences between the pedestrians. If they walk on the same side of the street, they'll all have the same amount of money and they'll walk at the same speed. They'll go into the store if there's room. The differences between the stores are the capacity, speed and income. How do you know what kind of store you'll need? Just choose one and see if it did great or not... Or just click the '?' and click the lightbulb for the hint... Without any notification of how many pedestrians are coming, and without any info about their expendable money, this is just a guessing game. You'll clear the level if you hit the minimum amount of profit you've accumulated over several days. You'll inevitably fail, as you had no idea what combination of stores you would have needed. With the preset store placements, the lack of information, lack of freedom and the small success window, Rip Them Off quickly becomes a tedious little game.

This game bills itself as a puzzley tower defense game, but is none of the above. The way to solve each "puzzle" is to guess correctly at what kind of shop should go where, and when to upgrade them. There is no strategy or clue decoding. There is a help button that tells you the correct answer, and that's basically it. Tower defense games give players choices and tradeoffs. Puzzle games give players the tools they need to solve the puzzle. This game gives players a bunch of things to try. Pros: The music is nice. The flavor text is sometimes amusing. Cons: It's not fun. I have trouble imagining anyone finding it fun.

길바닥의 행인들을 벗겨먹는 도시의 운영가 행인들이 걸어다니는 도시의 중요한 지점에 가게를 설립해 최대한 많은 이윤을 뽑아먹어야 하는 게임이다. 게임의 제목이 Rip Them Off인 것은 말 그대로 지나가는 행인들을 최대한 털어 뜯어먹겠다는 의미로 보면 되겠다. 보유하고 있는 금액에 따라 특정 지점에 원하는 건물을 건설하기만 하면 되는 단순한 게임성을 보유하고 있지만, 동시에 적절한 지점에 알맞은 건물을 타이밍에 맞게 건설해야 최대한 많은 이득을 얻을 수 있어 머리를 꽤나 써야한다. 총 8가지 도시마다 준비돼있는데, 각 도시마다 도로와 건물이 각기 다르게 배치돼있고 행인의 이동 동선도 달라 이에 맞게 건물을 배치해줘야 한다. 각 건물들은 가격이 각자 다르며 행인이 오래 머문 만큼 높은 이윤을 창출해내는 건물이 있는가하면 적은 이윤을 남기는 대신 빠르게 손님들을 순화니키는 건물도 존재한다. 건물이 싸다고 무조건 효율이 구린 것도 아니고 비싸다고 해서 무조건 효율이 좋은 것도 아니니 건물의 특성을 잘 파악해 알맞게 건물을 지고 업그레이드 시켜주는 것이 중요하다. 각 날짜마다 리셋이 가능해 여러번 게임을 리셋하며 최대한의 효율을 고려해볼 수 있어 편의성은 꽤나 잘 갖춰져있다. 다만 혹여나 첫날로 돌아가버리면 이후 진행이 싹 사라져버리니 주의. 또한 맵 오브 더 모먼트를 통해 최대한의 이윤을 추구하고 리더보드로 다른 이들과 기록을 경쟁할 수 있다는 점도 인상적. 그 밖에는 도시의 시크함을 잘 살린 배경음악이 귀에 착착 감긴다. 게임의 규칙과 도시의 구조가 살짝쿵 난해하긴 해도 여전히 캐주얼한 시뮬레이션의 묘미는 잘 살아있는 게임이다. 적당히 머리쓸 만한 게임을 찾는 이들에게 추천. https://blog.naver.com/kitpage/222103261679

It's a short game with great flavor and great music. Gameplay can be confusing and lacking depth, the abstractness requires more to go on before it just leads to frustration. Get it if it's sale or if you like the flavor on the box.
