Sigh. Another developer who deletes discussion threads that he doesn't like: https://i.imgur.com/Xijg2Rs.jpg. There was at least one other comment from another user (also expressing his disappointment), there was no animosity in any of the comments, but the whole thread was removed. [Update: https://i.imgur.com/DDFzRdc.jpg. Notice that Steam no longer says "This item was moved or deleted". The developer silently undeleted the thread, added a new subforum and placed the thread there after the review had been posted.] As you can see, the complaint was that this is not a complete game but rather a short episode which doesn't resolve any of the plot lines and ends on a cliffhanger. The main character, who is in a dire situation, proclaims that she's going to get to the bottom of things, after which the game just ends. In my opinion, it is not okay to not mention this kind of "to be continued" ending on the store page. I was also pointing out that the store page is showing a picture of something which is not in the game but is a very likely outcome of the situation the protagonist is in. The developer denied that the picture hinted at any planned next episodes. But I think this is a lose-lose situation for him, because if what he says is true, that most likely means we'll never get to see how the story gets resolved. The game itself is average. It is very short (I completed it in under 2 hours) and borrows some elements of the old adventure games without understanding that the requirements back then were very different, those old gameplay mechanics were specifically geared towards artificially extending the playtime by sending the player on lengthy trips between locations in search of the last currently available action that will trigger something else elsewhere. But this game has a very small number of locations, which makes it more or less playable.

Short and sweet point-and-click adventure game at a fair price for the length. Took me about 1h30 and I was stuck a while on the last obstacle. The puzzles were good - not too easy, not too hard - and didn't strike me as unfair, even though I had to use a hint to get the last one. The graphics were pixelated and colorful although you might initially have trouble getting this to run at full screen. Try different resolutions, 1280x720 worked for me. The writing was clever and funny reminding me of Monkey Island but without "aping" it. I would have liked a longer sequel, but although it's kind of hinted at, I doubt very much it will happen.
I saw this on John Walker's Buried Treasure and knew I had to check it out. I'm pretty sure this has been patched since then as one of the mistakes John mentioned (Molly always taking off her backpack each time you wanted to open the inventory) seemed to have been fixed. Molly did the animation one time, but after that the inventory snapped open straight away. The game really is splendid. Art There's not too many locations but each one looks great. I've never been to this part of France, but what an advert! I was constantly surprised when there was a unique animation for what might normally just have been a text response. Try grabbing a t-shirt at the market or seeing if you're tall enough to enter the tournament - you'll be rewarded. Music Nice background music, didn't stand out too much apart from the urgent theme that played in the Arena which I digged. Dialog Really funny, some genuine laugh out loud moments and a couple of jokes that you get a moment after and not sure whether to laugh or shake your head. I'm a sucker for the Back to the Future style joke where the phrase is *almost* right but wrong, in this case "Lock this criminal up and throw away the book at her." If you keep going back and talking to the organiser while you're collecting items, Molly will show her tall she can be or show off her armour - little bits which could be easily missed. Length I saw some comments about how long it takes to play and while it's a little on the short side compared to some of the classics your mind immediately tries to compare it to, it's just a super fun little adventure. 4.5/5 P.S. There's the tiniest little Metal Gear Solid reference hidden away in there which I loved more than I should have.
Delightful art and animation with hilarious writing. The characters were the stand out for me, each one is positively dripping with personality. Puzzles were well-balanced, they were not too obscure although I was stumped a couple of times. A great throwback for fans of the point-and-click genre!
Very well made. Looking forward to more, longer, games in the future :)
An adorable game! This reminded me of the Secrets of Monkey Island so much - lots of nice touches and funny moments too. I highly recommend this for your enforced extended stay-cation! The puzzles are not so hard you get stuck every minute - but hard enough to need some thought. Lovely bright colourful graphics, and a well presented and well thought out story line. Should you buy this? It's an absolute no-brainer. Get it now, and immerse yourself in retro heaven. More please!
What a wonderful little gem! I'd seen some screenshots a couple of years back. I didn't realise it was being developed into a playable adventure. It was an absolute pleasure to play this, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the Mac port too! Steam claims it isn't compatible with MacOS Catalina(10.15) but I played it on Catalina and it worked just fine.
Absolutely delightful. If you're a fan of old school point and click adventures this is going to make you grin ear to ear. Think Day of the Tentacle for some of the backgrounds but more Indiana Jones/Atlantis for the characters It's short and sweet, I was a little sad when the credits rolled that there wasn't more (and to be clear, it is kinda criminal that we're left entirely hanging. This is not a complete story sadly), but the dialogue is smart, the humour really, really tickled me throughout, the visuals have a wonderful nostalgia to them and the animation is pretty slick for blocky pixel art! The adventure is wacky, the characters are great, I only got stumped on a couple of puzzles for a little while but even with that I finished in under 2.5 hours. You're not going to write home about the epic story or anything, but I would absolutely recommend any old school adventure game fans play this if you want your day made brighter.
Charming and funny from the intro to the end. And look at that, Alasdair Beckett-King's (Nelly Cootalot) name is in the credits, that does make sense.
Feria d'Alres is a delightful little adventure, set in the town or Alres, just before the annual bullfighting competition. You play as Molly - a girl with a dream of entering the aforementioned competition, however the mayor and townsfolks won't make it any easier for her. It's up to the player to find a way of entering the competition - including scaring off parrots and dropping horses on people. Everything is presented in a goregous pixel art style, that makes me think I'm 10 once again, and playing a cool point 'n click on my trusty DOS machine. Just looking all the idle townfolks, backgrounds and little details puts a smile on my face. The music is fitting as well - I really dig that some locations have a variation of the same theme, and it subtly fades to the appropriate one as you travel. The game is rather short (around 2 hours if you take your time and click at different things), but it makes up with the loads of charm and well written funny dialogue. While there are some minor things that could be done better, they don't really matter that much. Definitely recommended and well worth the price - especially if you're an adventure game fan.
