What a joy to play! Brilliant soundtrack and a wonderfully told story. The way real-life historical events were incorporated as clues was really nicely done and it was so satisfying how dates from earlier chapters related to puzzles in the later chapters; it made the story feel even more real. Now I just want to play another puzzle/investigation game that's presented as artfully as this!
A very original deduction type game which go through the 90's and mostly through music during this period. It's a fairly easy game which makes it very chill, playing it and reading the pages as we listen to the very nice music that we can play in the background, this type of game should be highlighted more !

Riley and Rochelle is a great investigation game with life and character. In this game, you are sorting out events in the lives of the two titular stars by date. You need to listen to audio, read records, and use a search engine to place events by date. Each chapter is an era, and you can use lots of clues like “it’s a Tuesday and the 11th of the month” solve it. I love following the story. The development, rise, fall, and resolution of each character’s arc draws you in enough to want to know more, and they feel like complete personalities. I recommend this for any investigation fans, especially if you are into music as well!
Riley & Rochelle is a deduction game. Your job is to identify the dates of diary entries, hunting for clues in interviews, news articles, and the diaries themselves. The puzzles are clever, and some of them involve a bit of Googling (or at least, reaching into your brain for 90s trivia). But while the gameplay is fun, the thing I love most about it are the characters. I really enjoyed inhabiting Riley & Rochelle's world. The story is funny and touching, the voice acting is great, and the art style is beautiful. Plus, the music is excellent. Each track feels authentic to the time period. It's like stepping back in time! Highly recommend.
Great detective/puzzle game with original songs that WILL get stuck in your head (recommend buying the soundtrack), plus what I think is a dig at 90s Canadian late-night host Mike Bullard, which I appreciate!
Really adored this game! Whenever characters sing in games I often get paralysed by cringe, but somehow Riley & Rochelle avoids it entirely - the music is just so incredibly well done! The writing and voice acting is solid, too, as is the puzzle aspect of the game. I ended up really caring for everyone, despite the relatively short runtime, and though I can only make myself play through two of the endings (iykyk), I found both very lovely. All in all a great (and hard-to-put-down) experience!
this game is amazing. i honestly feel like i have paid way too little for this astonishing masterpiece. you follow the two musicians Riley and Rochelle through different diary entries. you have to deduce clues to figure out on which day they got written. it starts of relatively easy but with every chapter you proceed it gets harder. every little word can matter. sometimes you have to use google to determine a specific date. finding it can be tricky if you dont put in the correct search words. i had a lot of fun engulfing the journey through the 8 chapters (albeit chapter 8 is completely optional) the way the story unfolds is phenomenally written and although Riley and Rochelle are two normies (when we look past the fact that they are rather famous) the puzzles make you still enjoy every piece of the story. the songs featured in this games are awesome, they are all exclusively written for this game! I cant imagine the amount of work that has been put into it! And the drawings too. AND the cherry on top: this game has voice acting! And the voices are both fitting and goosebumping. i strongly recommend you to try this game out. it's only 1€! (far too less imo). And while it isnt as hard as The Roottrees are dead or Return of the Obra Dinn (i only really got stuck three times and only bc I was very stupid and couldnt read properly lmao) i still enjoyed every bit of the 11 hours of playtime. the puzzles are really creative so it doesnt matter whether they are easy or not. the game features 4 endings depending on your decisions. sadly it doesnt feature an internal note feature but i strongly advice you to take notes on everything, even the dates because trust me, you will need it! And if you like the soundtrack, make sure to purchase it, to further support the developers! Its also just 1€ so it shouldnt hurt much :)
Another solid deduction game from Tim Sheinman.
Really great evolution from Rivals, much longer and really engaging. Really the peak of Owlskip in my view - I hope that the team are able to come back to the audio-based mysteries soon!
Another cool story driven puzzle from Owlskip.
