About
The world has always been stranger than we were allowed to know.
Mythic entities, things that go bump in the night, and impossible doorways to a limitless universe of wonders - and threats - all exist, just beyond sight. Secret societies, hidden wars, and impossible technologies all bend to one mandate: contain the unknown before it consumes us.
You are a Weaver, an elite operative of the Mythic Protocol trained to close rifts, wield supernatural powers, deploy unique technologies, and survive encounters with entities that should not exist. Deploy alone or with up to two friends and take the fight into unstable mythic combat zones where every mission is another chance to bring something dangerous back alive — or make sure it never returns.
The Protocol dictates the mission, you execute.
Investigate anomalous activity. Contain rift outbreaks. Exterminate mythic threats before they spiral beyond control.
Drop into hostile PvE missions, complete objectives, collect weapons and field upgrades, and decide how far your squad is willing to push before seeking extraction. Your deployment, your choice - but be warned: Rift Exposure Zones are not to be trifled with.
Rifts escalate, mythics swarm, and not everyone can make it out.
Weavers are no ordinary operatives.
Each Weaver brings their own abilities, combat identity, and role in the squad. Wield experimental weapons, manipulate rift energy, and harness in-mission Lythogram upgrades to reshape your builds and playstyles mid-mission.
Stack modifiers. Trigger synergies. Turn a clean loadout into something ridiculous by the end of a deployment. The possibilities are yours to explore, and unleash.
Some areas are too corrupted to secure cleanly.
Rift Exposure Zones are high-risk areas filled with deadly corruption, unstable rewards, and even deadlier mythics. Push inside to chase better loot and bigger opportunities, or stay clear and keep your current haul safe.
The choice is up to you, and your squad: Go deeper for what might be waiting inside, or extract before the rift decides for you.
Every deployment will put at risk your favourite weapons.
If you fail to extract, not only will you lose everything you’ve found on mission, and the weapons you brought will not come back unscathed.
Scarred Weapons will replace one of its weapon mods with a random negative mod. These weapons remain usable, but scarred.
RIFTSTORM is not about hardcore tactics, gear fear, or punishing players for wanting to have fun.
This is power-fantasy forward looter-shooter, with the freedom to extract. Become a Weaver. Kill monsters. Build momentum. Push your luck. Extract with your rewards — or come back scarred, rebuild, and go again.

The game is already pretty good in terms of mechanics and the variety of skills and weapons. I just hope you’ll improve the FPS optimization so I can play the game smoothly until the full release. Here is a walkthrough of my gameplay style: https://youtube.com/live/bbMPtNYgRIo?feature=share
Riftstorm is already a lot of fun with a great foundation to build upon. It combines a few different genres like looter-shooter, extraction and roguelite which all work decently well together despite them not being that deep yet. The looter shooter aspect revolves currently around only guns, no armor or trinkets. There are currently 28 of them which are all more or less unique. Their itemization goes as far as each roll with a gear score and 1 - 4 passives. The passives are mostly bonuses you can get during a run so it takes away some rng in a nice way. The Roguelite part works good too. During a run you often get to choose between different upgrades ranging from simple damage increases to stuff like projectiles bounce, create black holes or home in on enemies. There currently dont seem to be a ton of upgrades so you often the see the same ones. The extraction aspect is the weakest part of the game right now and doesnt really add much to the experience. If you fail a mission you lose all rewards and your weapon might get a debuff but you wont lose them and you can repair them fairly cheaply. You always have the option to leave missions early. There are also 5 Characters to play as all with their own abilities, some augments to them and a passive tree. You can fully spec every note in a passive tree so there isnt much choice besides what you take first and last. I cant say how much about how they differ from eachother because I only played Starling so far but from looking at my teammates they do have unqiue play styles. Some positives + Shooting feels good + Movement feels good + Enemy variety + Elite enemies are good + Location variety + Some "build" possibilities Some negatives - Some desyncs in coop when joining late - does have what I assume is a place holder story right now I think Riftstorm is definetly worth a try at the moment. Just keep in mind it is early access so some things are bound to be off and will get fixed

Tutorial played fantastically. Loaded into first mission and the game is unplayable: stuttering, skipping, slideshow framerate. 22ms lag. Pity, the game seems interesting. update: seems to be a server issue. plays offline no problem but then what's the point? update again: Simulation thread count seems to work
this game is dope af. Hope that it does well. Looter extract top down fun. the weapons are fun. looks like they might make getting other chars like Warframe maybe (do missions get parts and craft them). Just fun over all.
Interesting game. Controls are great, but it can be better with Keybind option. It's 2026 and i need my M4/M5 :))))). I wish there will be a feature to add / remove buff & debuff from the weapon in the future. Because getting permanent debuff on your weapons from a small mistake sucks ass. Thankfully i can alt-f4 to cheat the permanent debuff for some reason.
Finally an extraction game with no pvp. I think this game really balance the extraction feel without needed to resort to pvp trolls
WHERE IS THE OST RELEASE IT!! I love it!
Ok, wow. Just wow, the depth and complexity of this game comes out of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nowhere. Geez. A shame a lot of people won't get that far because of the jank. Still a big recommend.
Ok for early access this is really amazing, but it does come with a very clear early access level of polish. If you are expectting a polished level game then dont buy in early access. If you just want to have fun and you are a reasonable adult with reasonable expectations for an early access game, this is a ridiculous steal!
If Helldivers is the sweaty hardcore side of the top-down shooter genre, then this is the polar opposite. RIFTSTORM just lets you have fun, without treating you like an infant. 8/10 - will be higher if they can polish their Early Access technical issues.
