RICO: London

If you barely make it through a level with little ammo, health, or currency, you're basically stuck and have to start completely over. While that's what ultimately killed Rico 2 for me, it's not a great game even if you're a better player. The levels and enemies are repetitive, the gunplay is mediocre at best, and the biggest sin for me is that the game incentivizes boring play. In the trailer, you see players dodge and slide through a hail of gunfire, but doing this in the actual game gets you killed so quickly that 90% of the time it makes the most sense to stay back and pick off enemies one at a time. I know that there are power-ups that make this kind of combat easier, so maybe it gets more frenetic later on, but most of what I played was just a slog. I would also be remiss not to mention the insane price tag. I got RICO 2 for $3-$5 on sale, I can't remember the exact price. At $5 I wouldn't go back and buy it again but I don't feel like I've been robbed. However, as I look at it today it's $35 which is complete robbery. I can't imagine what the developers feel justifies this price tag but it's an absolute avoid at $35. If you're curious about RICO 2, pick it up on sale for $5, but I personally would just avoid altogether.

반복적인 맵에 1시간만에 질려버림.

Para ser la secuela de RICO, estoy muy decepcionado. Hay nuevas mecánicas y armas, adicionalmente, una campaña de la que carecía el título anterior. Sin embargo, no se crean mapas de forma procedural, la cantidad de enemigos por habitación es de 2 a 3 y en la grandes hasta 8, el cambio de nivel se siente demasiado lento y los escenarios de fondo por la ventana se siente demasiado extraños. Se quita la mecánica de ver el mapa y planear como despegar las habitaciones, increíblemente, en el titulo anterior podías destruir partes del escenario e incluso ayudarte de barriles rojos para matar a varios enemigos con una detonación, elementos y mecánicas que no están presentes en esta secuela. No recomiendo comprar este juego. Su versión anterior tiene menos mecánicas con las armas y movimientos de los personajes, aún así se siente mejor trabajado y pulido. Un claro ejemplo es que llegué a luchar con enemigos invisibles donde tenía que disparar al aire para poder eliminarlos, ha de ser un error en la carga. Honestamente, esperaba mucho ver que la secuela superara a la primera entrega, no sucedió.

Bought in a Fanatical bundle, and while fun, I wouldn't pay the full price as I see it on Steam. It's a lot of the same, I haven't played co-op so that is potentially fun, but it's breaching and shooting, breaching and shooting and repeat. Story is fine, I like the comic style and it fits the games artstyle. So if you want to grab it, get it via Fanatical to try it out!

dumb arcade fun. i sorta wish the campaign was a bit more serious and fleshed out but its fun the gameplay is fine. its fine singleplayer a couple times but i found it kinda boring and hard without a friend so id recommend playing with some.

If you can't get it for 1$/1 euro don't even bother. Main campaign, if you can even call it that, lasts for about an hour. And like I said, it can hardly be called 'campaign' as it basically has 5-6 levels, 3 comics-style cinematics and small dialogues before every mission. That's it. Apart from campaign, you only have the so-called 'Daily Play' which is basically the similar set of levels from the campaign (just with slightly different placement of rooms and enemies) without any story-telling. The amount of weapons for such a small game is ok, but the base price of the game is laughable at best. I got it from Fanatical with few different games and I still kinda regret that purchase.

It's a janky mess. When the game clearly should know you are low on health, it punishes you with more levels with more enemies instead bit of health packs. and when you get something its always ammo supply which you dont need, you literally can pick off enemies weapons and grenades, useful but not needed. But gunn play is fine levels are repetetive and enemies are no diffrent. It's alright but feels very rushed. Would recommend in a some degree like its fine, havvent played their other game so cant compare on it.
