I really, really want to like the game, but I would be lying if I didn't say that playing it were akin to a CBT experience. There are several aspects of the game that I want to talk about, each with its own issues.
The H
It definitely plays into the kink of corrupting an innocent maiden. I don't think the execution was great. You don't really know when you're going to trigger H cutscenes as you play through the game. It'll just happen randomly, and you don't really have any control of who you want to have a H scene with. You can view the scenes you've watched in the galleries, but the lack of control midgame made the experience less enjoyable for me.
Art
The game actually has a decent art. A lot of the characters you play with have its unique charms. This is what I thought when viewing the "old" arts. For some reason they replaced it with a new AI-looking arts, which as AI arts go, look very generic and unappealing. There is an option in the setting to use the old arts, which I enabled.
Story
The story is quite generic. A succubus came to corrupt an innocent knight girl, and the knight girl tries her best to resist. With corruption style story games, I really prefer if there is an option to deliberately lose and be "rewarded" in an alternative way, but that aspect was absent in this game. Reading through the story also felt like a slog when the translation (English) was terrible, which brings me to my next point...
Localisation
I played in English, and the English localisation has a lot of misspellings on top of just weird, unnecessary modern slangs that the characters are obviously not saying in Japanese. The translator also has a bit of an ego and inserts a lot of "translator notes" everywhere, which was obnoxious. I just want to immerse myself in the game, not read about what the translator thinks about random parts of the story.
Gameplay
Arguably the least important aspect of a H game, but it is a game so i will talk about the gameplay. It was... frustrating. And tedious. It's a roguelite auto-chess gameplay. You draft champions from a random pool, upgrade them, face enemy waves, and so on, and try to last for 40 days (enemy waves). Everytime you finish a run, whether in success or failure, you get currency to unlock new upgrades that might help make your future runs easier. But holy #$%^ because the upgrades are sooo expensive compared to the currency you get even from a successful complete run. Not to mention you're capped at equipping 10 upgrades in one run, and you can't change it midrun. Now the game does start pretty simple and easy. You just go through the story, play the game and live the harlot life to get the normal ending. But then if you want to unlock the true ending, you have to stay chaste for the entire gameplay which makes it much harder to reduce your "horny meter" (think hunger meter in survival games), but the devs thought hey let's also buff all the enemies stats by almost 50% towards the end of the run. Holy f#$% does that make your run a living hell. I don't get why I'm capped at 10 upgrades when the enemies scale far worse than any singular upgrade, all of which I had to grind for btw.
TL;DR
The game failed at providing a great H, narrative or gameplay experience. Confusing H placements, bad writing on top of bad localisation, and a frustrating and excessively grindy gameplay. It had a great concept, but terrible execution. It's far from the worst game I've ever played, but I wouldn't recommend it anyhow.

🎮 Reseña de Resist the succubus—The end of the female Knight

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad6Variedad de sistemas, pero no siempre equilibrados.

Dificultad / IA6Cumple; más “gestión” que rival brillante.

Contenido7Hay bastante entre estrategia, roguelike y narrativa adulta.

Gráficos / Video62D anime funcional; más efectivo que impresionante.

Historia7Se esfuerza por tener trama y no solo excusas.

Ambientación6Medieval oscuro con picante, sin mucha sutileza.

Efectos (VFX)6Correctos; no esperes fuegos artificiales.

Resist the succubus—The end of the female Knight es un juego que claramente sabe a qué público apunta y no pierde tiempo fingiendo ser otra cosa.
