Abandoned. Good potential but just disappointment.
This game has an incredible amount of potential but as it currently stands it is frustrating to the point of being unplayable. The main issue comes from the employees who's AI is far to underdeveloped. In larger scale builds the AI cannot keep up and consistently chooses the most ineffecient way to take on any task. This means if you are trying to run a high capacity build the building will build up grime and dishes as the AI constantly swaps tasks and actually does nothing. The dirt grows unrealistically anyways and the AI refusing to clean does not help.

What you see is what you get. Extremely basic and not really worth playing
Way too buggy to be enjoyable. I tried pretty hard, as evidenced by the 16 hours of gameplay. I was able to enjoy some experiences. I don't know if I'll ever boot this up again, though. Not worth the price unless you get it on a steep sale.
More frustrating than fun. So many little annoying things that aren't right that add up to a not very fun playing experience. Dishwashers who only pick up one item at a time. Not being able to close the restaurant to do renovations. Which means you have to wait for an item to not be in use in order to move it around. Hiring the fastest workers available, yet they are always just standing there not doing anything. Annoying notifications like food storage is full. Obviously they are full because the restaurant just received a supply order.
very chill game to play, heal my soul when me get divorced
Tastemaker honestly feels like a game with a lot of wasted potential. After 3 years, the game looks almost identical to launch, and it hasn’t received a proper update in over 2 years. The reason for that feels pretty strange and out of nowhere, but it seems the developer moved on to a new game called “Aviassembly,” which, to be fair, actually looks pretty good from what I’ve seen. I don’t know the full reason behind it, and I’m not sure if the developer ever explained why, but because of that, Tastemaker really feels like it was left behind. The game itself is very basic and doesn’t have much depth. The employee AI feels unfinished, and after a short while you’ve basically seen everything the game has to offer. The scenarios are fun at first, but they start getting repetitive pretty quickly. I did enjoy the hour or so I spent with it, and there’s definitely a solid foundation here for a good management game. But in its current state — and realistically the state it’ll probably stay in I just can’t recommend spending your money on it.
Just a tiny little game. Good but not the perfect. It is currently no longer updated.
I wanted this game to be good, I really did. Left it alone for a couple of years and then came back to it... was immediately reminded of why I stopped playing. Very little to do in it, seems like the employee stats mean nothing, and creativity is limited by scenarios and space constraints. It has so much potential, but the game gets stale really quickly. If the developers ever return to this game, maybe it will go some where, otherwise there are far better cooking and management games out there.
