Surprisingly addicting. Me and a friend picked this up on a whim but it turned out to be an incredible co-op souls-like experience with some of the most in-depth build crafting I've seen recently, which had me constantly trying new builds and searching for new items for them. The randomization is also both really interesting but also very tedious at times. It's great for casual playthroughs where everything you find is likely to be entirely new and unique to your run, but annoying when trying to find specific gear and having to reroll worlds over and over again like I have been in the late game. But to be honest, that's my only major gripe. Overall the gameplay is great and satisfyingly difficult, and it really scratched that souls-like itch for me while waiting for the next big Fromsoft release. I would heavily encourage you to play it co-op with friends as well as much of the experience is designed around it, but still very doable and fun solo.
This game is so ass. The final boss was doing straight up bs and even the ending was horrible, everyone dies either way.
It is a really fun game. Challenging enough to be a true souls like while still allowing easier mode if you prefer, It is an upgrade in almost every respect from the first game, minus the armor traits being removed, the leveling slow after a certain point, and the trait cap.

Very solid with friends. A significant improvement over the first game - quality of life and gameplay improvements, like infinite stamina outside of combat. Also, there are nonmagic sidearms other than the repeater, which I hated in the first game, so that's a W
