The world has been thrown into chaos by an ancient evil from another dimension. As one of the last remnants of humanity, you must set out alone or alongside up to two other survivors to face down hordes of deadly enemies to try to carve a foothold, rebuild, and retake what was lost.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.57/day in the week to Aug 8 → 12.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is a soulslike with guns. I played Remnant 2 first, so I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of this game, which came before. Indeed in many ways, Remnant 1 is better. Notable differences from Remnant 2: - Armor sets have bonuses, with an entire matching set giving massive bonuses - Armor can be upgraded, allowing for immense damage mitigation in comparison to Remnant 2 - There is no max trait point level. You can maximize all traits - No classes, which means no skills, only mods - Larger open areas rather than smaller dungeons all connected - You cannot join other games in-game. You have to go to the main menu. However there is a quick match option, so it is always easy to find games to join. This can however take you vastly above your own skill and power level, as it does not matchmake with respect to difficulty settings, so use it with caution. - Ammo economy matters. You are constantly low on ammo, making for more desperate situations, which is nice. Hit your targets or you are screwed. There is a noticeable difference in the feel of the guns in this game in relation to the sequel, with this game getting is more right. The gameplay overall feels better, even though the mechanics obviously got a step up in the sequel. With no class skills and traits able to be maximized, there is also not really a lot of build crafting here, which is sad. Gun, armor and traits fully upgraded, and it just comes down to your reaction time really. In Remnant 2, build crafting is extremely important. I will say that I prefer the Ward 13 hub area in this game, and the larger open areas. The world of Remnant 1 feels larger and more creepy and mysterious. You get a better feel for the vastness of the universe, rather than just being teleported around all the time. Multiplayer connection also seems to be better in this game. I have not had a single crash, whereas Remnant 2 has CONSTANT connection issues. I have however had people dragon ball-teleporting all over the map due to immense lag. Even to the point of them lagging out of the map and dying. Super weird. This has already happened to other players I have played with several times in my few hours of playing (7 hours in-game. Don't know why steam says 17) so I think this is a big issue. Overall Remnant is a beautiful diamond with just a few cracks in it... And having played Remnant 1 now, I am immensely pissed off that they cut out so many amazing mechanics from Remnant 2. Had Remnant 2 been building on top of Remnant 1, rather than being a pretty different thing, it would have been a much better game. Play this game. It is steampunk horror survival looter shooter monster whatever, with a soulslike twist. Awesome game. 8,5/10.
I finished this game twice. The first time was in 2019 with one friend. One particular boss took us so many attempts that our friendship briefly entered its own boss phase. We spent more time blaming each other than actually fighting the thing. The second time was years later with two different friends. Turns out having teammates with functioning frontal lobes makes a huge difference. Remnant somehow manages to throw you into what feels like Mad Max, then an H.R. Giger nightmare, then another world that looks like Pandora decided to have a bad day. The art direction is fantastic, the music is great, and the gunplay has a satisfying weight that a lot of looter shooters never quite achieve. The story? It's... there. It makes a lot more sense if you've played Chronos: Before the Ashes. Which, statistically speaking, you probably haven't. Thankfully you don't need to. Bosses are mostly excellent, although a few attacks have hitboxes that seem to have diplomatic immunity from physics. Every now and then you'll swear you dodged something, only for the game to politely disagree. The real star, though, is co-op. Clutch revives, panicked screaming, accidentally abandoning your teammates because everyone immediately forgot the plan... it's glorious. This game has an incredible ability to reveal which of your friends can keep calm under pressure and which ones become decorative lawn furniture the moment a boss appears. I am the second type, which only added to the enjoyment, of course. I played through the DLC as well, and the final boss apparently woke up one morning and chose violence. It's harder, meaner, and somehow still fun. I honestly wouldn't recommend playing this solo—not because it's bad (it's perfectly playable alone), but because you're missing out on 80% of the entertainment: watching your friends confidently execute the worst strategy you've ever witnessed. Recommended if you enjoy: - Great co-op - Fantastic atmosphere - Chunky, satisfying gunplay - Randomized replayability - Screaming "REVIVE ME!" while the person who could revive you is rolling in the opposite direction.
