This game has outstanding visuals/graphics, and fluid driving mechanics, it seems like this is where the studio spent the overwhelming majority of their time. These two parts make up 70% of the game experience for me.. However the remaining 30% is where the game is really flawed and disappointing... Before I get into the flaws, I want to emphasize that in the short time I've played this game, I really love the amount of passion and talent that the studio's workers put into. As an F-Zero fan, this 1) Similar to Redout 1, this game DOES NOT feature replay/ghost data in time trials. Why this was overlooked/not prioritized is beyond me. This game has a rewind feature, so they are clearly capable of storing ghost data. 2) Time trials no longer show you deltas comparing your checkpoint to your fastest checkpoint ran. This is partly due to the fact you only race 1 lap in time trials and thats your time, as opposed to Redout 1 where its your FASTEST lap (out of any number of laps). However, it would be good if trials compared your checkpoints with your personal best... or perhaps with a specific ghost!!! 3) Time trial leader boards show ALL vehicle "classes/power levels" in the same board for a given track. So a record with a 1000 power build shows alongside a record with 500 power build. This is a very minor gripe, but annoying because I would like to *easily* compare builds with similar power levels. 4) The parts/color system is kind of annoying. I liked how in Redout 1 you were given money for playing races, then you bought whatever you wanted. The game was significantly more accessible.
