The first 1.5 hours have felt like a way too much extended tutorial. I have no idea how many levels there are left in the main campaign, but I'm afraid it's not going to get any more interesting. The mechanics are very simple, and it doesn't seem like the game would introduce any new and more interesting mechanics anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's a well made little game with no technical faults or anything like that, but it just feels like grinding to me...
Je joue sur Linux. Version Linux : excellente.
Redirection is a simple puzzle game (think Lemmings) in which you guide robots in a landscape with a minimal number of traffic cones. It's intuitive and engaging, yet challenging and creative. Actually, it's so innovative that I'm surprised that the game doesn't exist already.
This is one of those games that you most likely have played or at least something really similar as browser game. I guess that's why I haven't heard of it outside steams discovery queue and that's also kinda shame. Technical polish is something amazing and what I always admire with games. Solid and insanely smooth 144 FPS with SSAA, zero issues. Dualshock 4 worked without issues, during first levels I switched to keyboard and mouse to get feel which one is better overall and tutorial texts instantly changed to that. Then there's not only level editor, but also arcade with completely differend kind of games and both with full workshop support. Even without all of that, the game itself just hard enough, I did have to think later on a lot but not to point where I wanted to just uninstall the game. Only bigger issue is that I do not know why item teleporting is measured in seconds while robots move full squares and moving along one square is not one second, which resulted in tons of trial and error instead of proper calculation of things, but that's really minor thing. Most definitely worth at least to look at, if nothing else then when on sale or bundled.
Fun, short, and satisfying puzzle game. You are in space when suddenly all robots helping to fly your ship disappear across space and you must collect them all back in order to regain control of your ship and keep going. Your robots are everywhere and you must find them all. The storyline is basic, functions as a reason to play the levels offered, and doesn't take up much time at all. The main source of the game is each level where you must find ways to bring the robots to their destinations on the map. Blue robots turn left when they hit an obstacle, and red robots turn right when they hit an obstacle. An obstacle can be as simple as a wall, or it can be an object that you place on the map yourself. In certain levels you are given a certain amount of objects to help you complete the levels. You can even make them appear at specific times during the level so that you can time their appearance correctly to redirect the robots correctly. The levels go from super easy to somewhat of a challenge. I found only one level true head scratching, but I was able to figure it out soon enough. Overall, as you progress in levels you start to access new obstacles or tricks. For instance, you will get out of the corridors of levels and have the ability to fall off the map. Or portals will be a part of the map that you must use to get your robot to its destination. It can get tricky, and as you add more robots on each level, the trickier it gets. The graphics are super simple, but yet work perfectly for the type of game that it is. It looks cartoony and simplistic. You can turn the map to see it from different angles, which is really helpful, especially if you want to see what elevations thing appear to be. The only drawback could be that it's not super difficult and it ends too quickly. However, maybe it's one of those games that had it lasted longer it would have overstayed its welcome. While the game is short it does offer a neat mod creator. The dev has provided the same level creator he used to make the game to the players so that you can create your own levels for the game. It's easy to use, and I'm sure gets even easier as you get used to how it works. I hear you can also create your own sprites and more rather than just what is available to you. I definitely recommend this and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. By the way, did I mention that this game was made by a one person team? While it does not look entirely too complex, it entirely well developed and enjoyable to play. Kudos to the dev.
I recommend this if you just wanna do a bit of puzzles because those were fun BUT the arcade in the game has retro style games which are pretty hard (Quest is the worst one) and are required to 100% the game. (You also need to make a puzzle, upload it, and get a positive rating + 25 subscriptions.)
Cute, casual little puzzler. Story is disposable/unnecessary. Puzzles are mostly easy to moderate, with one or two head-scratchers. A nice way to waste a few hours. $4 price tag seems fair.
I happened to be a translator of this game, because of how amazing it looked in screenshots I saw. I received a translation copy for free, this can also explain the lack of hours that I got on steam for this game, as I first downloaded it from itch.io. I always loved clever puzzles and this one is no exception. The beautiful graphics, the amazing levels, the story, the mechanics and the attention to detail is extraordinary in this game. All of that bundled with the amazing library of levels and addons in the Steam Workshop make for a very complete game at a very low price! I am happy that I had the chance to play this game and appreciate it as much as I have. Its truly a great game that will challenge your mind in its creative puzzles, so why not give it a try?
