This game tried but it didn't quite make it all the way, it had its ups but the downs unfortunately outweighed it all. One thing I thought was cool was on each scene there was faint wolf symbols you could find and when you clicked on them it would give you various fairy tale or Little Red Riding Hood facts. While this was a nice change form most HOGs this quickly got tiring because those fact texts used a cursive font which made it a chore to read on top of the character dialogues. The hidden object scenes were alright and the wolf-vision was cool but those HO seemed to the only thing do to in the game. Each location scene was disappointing, there wasn't a whole lot to do outside to do the HO or occasional puzzle which made the game feel more on-rails than most HOGs I've played. The game had some animated scenes and the character models where pretty good and fun, voice acting would have been a big upgrade to my experience.
Pros: +Decent Hidden Object +Decent Puzzles +Likable protagonists +Red Riding Hood is a unique and fun setting Cons: -A bit on the easy side -Very very short -Ends on a cliffhanger -I wish this had achievements so it can have replayability
Gostei da história e das curiosidades sobre Chapeuzinho Vermelho, mas achei o jogo fácil demais.
Very basic: very short, no voice acting, almost no puzzles. Just basic HO scenes and written dialog.
For the price, this is absolutely worth getting. It’s pretty much what it looks like: hidden object game with a few other small challenges. The art isn’t the greatest thing ever, but it’s not bad. Recommended for anyone who likes werewolves.

Red Riding Hood – Star Crossed Lovers is a compact, unusual hidden-object adventure that reimagines the classic fairy tale through the lens of forbidden romance and dark fantasy. Rather than portraying the wolf as a villain, the story reframes him as a conflicted werewolf secretly in love with Red Riding Hood — a twist that immediately signals the game’s intent to blend fairy-tale whimsy with melodrama. The werewolf’s loyalty is tested when his clan demands he sacrifice Red Riding Hood to prove his allegiance, pushing him to defy his own kind and flee with her instead. This premise positions the narrative as a tale of escape and devotion, though presented with a distinctly fantastical and sometimes overdramatic flair. The setup holds charm for players drawn to reinterpretations of familiar stories through a gothic or romantic lens. The game’s structure revolves around traditional hidden-object and puzzle gameplay. Each location presents a set of items to find, environmental clues to reveal, and small interactive sequences that move the story forward. A notable mechanic involves using the werewolf’s “special sight” to uncover objects invisible to ordinary characters, a feature that feels thematically appropriate even if it doesn’t meaningfully deepen the puzzle complexity. The gameplay rhythm is intentionally simple: scan the screen, identify required objects, complete minor actions, and progress to the next area. This design makes the game easily approachable for casual players looking for a relaxing experience rather than something mechanically demanding. However, the game’s simplicity also exposes some of its limitations. Hidden-object scenes often reuse similar patterns and layouts, gradually reducing the sense of discovery as you advance. Puzzles tend to be familiar variants of genre staples, offering little novelty for experienced players. The overall runtime is notably short, with the full story easily completed in a single sitting. These constraints give the impression of a game built as a light diversion rather than a fully fleshed-out adventure. For some players, this brevity may be a positive — a small, digestible fairy-tale interlude — but for others it may feel insubstantial, leaving little to reflect on once the credits roll. Writing and translation issues also affect the experience. Dialogue frequently comes across as awkward or loosely phrased, with inconsistent tone and grammar that can unintentionally undermine dramatic scenes. Emotional moments, romantic exchanges, or tensions between characters sometimes land with unintended humor because of these inconsistencies. While some players might find charm in this campy, offbeat delivery, others may find it distracting or immersion-breaking. The story’s potential — rooted in a darker twist on Red Riding Hood — feels only partially delivered because of this lack of narrative refinement. Visually, the game commits to a colorful, painterly fairy-tale style. Scene transitions between day and night help break monotony and occasionally elevate mood, while the use of contrasting light and shadow adds a slight gothic undertone. Character art and backgrounds are serviceable, fitting the intended whimsical aesthetic without offering particularly striking details. Atmosphere is further supported by simple musical cues and sound effects, though these too remain modest in scope. The overall presentation is pleasant enough for a small hidden-object title but does not rise above the expectations of its genre or budget. Ultimately, Red Riding Hood – Star Crossed Lovers is best understood as a brief, lightly interactive storybook with hidden-object elements. It can appeal to players who enjoy indie reimaginings of classic tales, those looking for a short and casual experience, or fans of unusual romantic narratives filled with fantasy tropes. Its shortcomings — including shallow gameplay, limited length, uneven writing, and modest production values — prevent it from standing out among stronger hidden-object adventures, but its distinctive premise and approachable structure give it a small niche appeal. Approached with modest expectations and a willingness to embrace its eccentricities, it offers a quirky, compact fairy-tale escape. Rating: 6/10
This game was bizarre. It was like a weird Twilight x Red Riding Hood fanfic. Would recommend checking it out just because of how weird it is. The dialogue made me laugh a few times. A few interesting puzzles, a few tedious ones (the skip button exists even though it's not well labelled, it's in the top centre of the screen). Mostly hidden object scenes with a few unique aspects. Nothing special, but worth it on sale
