good story cowboy yeehaw
I bought this game because I wanted to become a legendary outlaw. Instead, I spent hours brushing my horse, choosing the perfect outfit, hunting squirrels for perfect pelts, fishing for no reason, greeting random strangers, and accidentally committing crimes because someone walked in front of my horse. Somehow... it became one of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had. Every time I told myself, "Just one more mission," it somehow turned into another three hours. The world is so alive that getting distracted feels like the actual main quest. One minute you're chasing a bounty. The next you're watching a sunset, playing poker, helping strangers, or spending twenty minutes deciding which hat looks better. This isn't just a cowboy game. It's a horse simulator. It's a fishing simulator. It's a hunting simulator. It's a photography simulator. It's an "I forgot what I was supposed to do" simulator. ...and somehow it does all of them incredibly well. The attention to detail is absolutely insane. NPCs remember you, wildlife behaves naturally, weather changes the atmosphere, and your horse somehow becomes your best friend before you even realize it. Speaking of horses... Mine definitely deserved Employee of the Month. It carried me across the entire map, survived my terrible decisions, and patiently waited while I got distracted by literally everything. After more than 225 hours, I still find random events I've never seen before. Very few games make me want to slow down and simply exist in their world. This is one of them. 10/10. Would accidentally run over innocent people with my horse again.
