Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Really good game! Had a lot of fun with the story and gameplay

Never played a Ratchet and Clank game before but this game was really good. Pros: Has good gameplay, lots of different weapons Good Side content and easy to find collectibles Really Good story with Ratchet trying to find more about his family and loved the ending so good Really like the half-open world as you can explore places but not a big map like witcher 3 and red dead Con: Really Expensive Really Short( but still enjoyable) Wait until a sale for this but a really good game

8.5/10 The only big notable flaws i can tell about the game are the lack of enemy variety that is really felt when it comes to bosses (you'll fight the same Dinosaur and big robot bosses more than 5 times) and the small bugs that mainly happen when playing at high frame rates. The story is not bad, but it is not mind blowing either, it is akin to a good pixar movie but with less impactful moments; characters are writen to be safe and plain. The gameplay is really solid; there's a good balance between shooting and platforming, the weapons all have a different feel and mix well together and the collectibles are quite fun to aquire without being overwhelming (around 5-6 collectibles per level) On a technical aspect the game is gorgeous. The lighting is incredibly well done, not the mention the impressive seamlessness of level transitions.

In a time period where live service and roguelikes are running rampant, it's refreshing to play a game with a definitive endpoint. I haven't played a Ratchet game since Deadlocked, but it was very easy to ease back into it. I feel like a lot of 3D platformers either have poor combat or poor platforming but this one nails them both. Combat feels good, there's some really fun weapon variety that you'd expect from a Ratchet and Clank game, platforming is solid, and the dimension hopping almost reminds me of Everything Everywhere All At Once. The story isn't really breaking any new ground, but that's not really what you play Ratchet and Clank for anyway. The game did crash on me during the final boss fight, but checkpoints are plentiful so I didn't lose much progress. Occasionally the menu doesn't load after the developer logos, and the Buzz Blades were weirdly unresponsive (sometimes they'd fire automatically as intended, sometimes I'd have to mash R2, and sometimes it wouldn't fire at all). The game was definitely made with the DualSense controller in mind, but it didn't take away from the experience THAT much. Good game with a few minor issues. Recommend to veterans and inexperienced players. It's just a fun time.

Es hätte ja so schön sein können: die Parade für unsere Helden Ratchet und Clank. Doch der böse Dr. Nefarious crasht die Show, und schon bald befinden wir uns in einer neuen Dimension. Clank ist weg, Nefarious ist Imperator, aber es gibt auch eine weitere Lombax. Es ist also nicht alles schlecht, und den Rest bekommen wir auch hingebogen. Zuerst fällt uns hier natürlich die wirklich phantastische Grafik auf, dann hören wir die deutsche Sprachausgabe, die sehr schön eingesprochen wurde. Auch die Steuerung per Gamepad fluppt von Anfang an. Das ist auch bitter nötig, denn es geht in atemloses Gameplay: Ständig passiert irgendwas, und es kommt definitiv keine Langeweile auf. Man this one is a GEM!!I played for 27 hours in total to complete the game as a whole and I enjoyed about everything about it(expect the little grinding to get the achievements,I couldn't find the figures and all).This game brings back memories of me playing Rachet and Clank 2 on the ps2 back in 2010 or something and I have had the same blast I had back then, (or perhaps even more!). Gameplay? good old fashioned rachet and clank,if the recipe works, don't fix it..it's smooth as hell (if you have a pc that can run it that is), whole portal thing is just plain awesome as well! The game environment is Great and intriguing Generally I had a lot of fun playing this, so I would definitely reccomend, do yourself a favour and grab this game, it's a must have!!
