About
In Rat Climber, you only have one goal: reach the top of the world.
You must navigate vertical labyrinths and make daring jumps, but be careful; one false move and you go tumbling down.
- Just climb and explore! But there may be a secret cheese in each zone, and something special might happen upon finding them all...
- If there's a small hole, you can probably fit inside. A 3 inch ledge? You can stand on it, Ratty! Start thinking like a rat.
- There are only 3 controls: Jump, dash, and walk
The dash lets you jump farther and slightly higher
The walk allows for precise movement and prevents you from walking off of ledges
If you fall, there's a chance you could recover progress from a recovery path, or land in a previous zone below you, but it's not guaranteed!
Can you guide Ratty to the top of the world and reach cheese heaven? Try your skills in the best 3D ratformer ever made!

Quite boring Only Up!-style game. Movement is alright, but there is no QOL whatsoever, which makes some jumps annoying, Sprinting works half of the time because you have to press the directional key BEFORE you press sprint for it to work. Also, there is no save if you decide to quit the game, so you have to climb all 6 or 7 levels without exiting, that's gonna take a couple of hours. A couple of hours of almost non-existent level design with repetative jumps. Not worth your time.
My dear friend SuperFirePanda gifted me the game and I'm a big fan, I watched SuperFirePanda beat Rat Climber today it was the most impressive thing since sliced bread.

really good game, took me about 3 hours with a bit of help from a friend, fantastic dev dedicated to supporting the game even as a finished product, i usually dont like climbing rage games but this one is really relaxing and more about exploration, its really fun to figure out where to go. theres been a lot of great QoL changes since launch, including some for speedrunning even involving an in game timer that auto-splits for you, and the movement fixes make the game feel quite nice to play now cant wait to see more <3
Rat parkour and rodent customization, whats not to like.
I had a wonderful time playing this game. Finally beat it today and it took me 20 hours, lol. Missing one cheese in area 5 that I'm definitely coming back for. Can't wait to see what you get for getting all the cheese. Good luck everybody!
rat go up
First completed run was 1hr 16mins. Was a really fun game, some of the geometry was a bit weird to parkour on but otherwise great game.
I happened to learn about this game from a random crew member. Its honestly a solid game. Easy to control, not too punishing on average, and relatively easy to get into. The comment about "no collectibles" isn't entirely true as this game does have secret cheeses to find and collect. Otherwise, the game is as advertised.
Good Rat Climbs High Good Rat Falls Down Good Rat Climbs Again Be a Good Rat.
I love this game. Mechanics wise I appreciate that the game has no save points. It makes you more careful in dangerous places and less so in places you know you wont fall which if no paying attention leads to you making mistakes later. Progressing feels very rewarding while falling feels devastating. I will say me personally I did appreciate having to walk before sprinting prior to the update. Only because it made for more of a challenge in some areas. The update is nice, though I do wish there was a sprint indicator. My friend SuperFirePanda showed me this game a few weeks ago and we play at least once a day. My first play through I didn't get out of the first zone at all, but when I came back to it I kept getting farther and farther learning how to navigate each zone. I also find myself mentally becoming the rat and immersing myself in that perspective winding and weaving through tunnels and crevices. I still haven't reached Rat heaven falling from the 6th zone as a new pb today, but I watched SuperFirePanda beat Rat Climber today and am excited to get there myself. The game has hidden cheeses throughout with one on each zone. Today me and SuperFirePanda searched for the secret cheeses and we are only missing the one in the mages tower zone. Rat Climber has become a group activity within our friend group, where we either watch a person play or play at the same time. I find that Rat Climber is super entertaining with the challenge of no save points being part of the fun. I highly suggest Rat Climber especially if you enjoy Foddian games. Even better if you play the game with others or by yourself Rat Climber is a wonderful challenge. I would love if the game was longer or even if we got a second game!
