Marvellous blast from the past game, I've had a lot of fun playing it
Excellent audio/visual design and overall presentation. Hard as nails physics-based arcade goodness, with roguelike progression. A fresh, modern spin on a genre classic. I'd love to see this in an arcade cabinet!
A fun little game where you pilot a little spaceship around - trying not to crash into anything. Reminds me a lot of games like Downwell where you are trying to proceed forward - though in this case you have a lot more freedom on where you want to go. Only real gripe I have with the game is some of the upgrades - things like Acceleration and Turn Speed upgrades feel like they completely destroy the run due to how much they up your thrust and torque. Nevertheless, fun little game!
An amazing space adventure, reminiscent of asteroids and twitch compatible. Worth purchasing for the graphics alone.
It looked promising, but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Even if you do make your landings on the goal, research, or fuel stations, the orbit of the asteroid you're on says ♥♥♥♥ that, pulls you away, and gets you killed. The game is also extremely tight; too tight. You have to be perfect with every single use of your fuel. Most of the upgrades are mediocre other than increasing your fuel. Remember, you get what you pay for. Not a recommend.
Don't let the price fool you. This is a really fun game. It doesn't hold your hand, just gives you the game and let's you play. There is a lot here once you get the hang of it. Different upgrades and ships make it a challenge for sure.
Asteroids-Like Rogue-Like Arcade
Very well made arcade game with many visual effects, difficult gameplay as rogue-like, daily run, Twitch streaming mode, highscores and much stuff to unlock. +Fun, basic, retro lander gameplay. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. +Rogue-like in the sense that the level layout is random, but some things are consistent. +A few different ships to choose from helps the runs from not feeling too repetitive. +A decent dose of humour. Like, you have an upgrade that also happens to scramble all the text, for ♥♥♥♥♥ & giggles. +Cheap price of admission. +Buncha stuff to unlock by replaying. -Few upgrades. -Game is short. -Combat is optional, needs unlocking and honestly not worth it. -Feels too easy at the start, but then difficulty spikes suddenly. -Too simple I guess? I dunno. It's retro. Why are you reading this? Just buy it.
I really want to like this game, but the gravity around objects that's constantly pulling your ship out of alignment with where you are trying to land feels like it defeats the entire purpose of game.
I thought it sounded neat, but it ended up just not gripping me. Sorry.
