im actually glad there isnt a horror twist or anything. Its just a silly little game
Although cute, this game is not for me, there is a lot going on and i got overwhelmed by it. I'm sure that it's a lot of people's cup of tea! i recommend it if you are into silly "find the item" type of games.
As someone who loved the demo of QT and appreciated the wholesome art style, I really wanted to like the full version of this game. Unfortunately, I struggled with a lot of motion sickness when trying to play. I'm not an expert on motion sickness, so I can't say for sure why this happened, but as someone who has played other first person games without any problem, I can only guess that it had to do with how the player camera moves in QT vs all the colors/graphics flying by the screen. Speaking of graphics, the spooky opening sequence had much brighter lighting than it did in the demo. The change was so jarring that at first I thought my computer was having trouble rendering the game, and it took me away from the moment. After looking at some playthroughs of the full version online, it was clear that the bright lighting was how it was supposed to look, and I have trouble understanding why this was changed from the demo, because the dark hallway contrasted so well with the rest of the game. Putting motion sickness and graphics aside, I still couldn't get behind the exploring you do in QT. Usually I've enjoyed exploration in video games just for the joy of it, but when "click on absolutely everything until something happens" makes up the majority of game, it's not my cup of tea. Although I appreciate that they attempt to nudge you in the right direction with the supposed "main" objectives, it seems like you have to randomly stumble upon the right thing for a lot of the achievements. I understand why this can work in a sense with the "QT" mode that's supposed to be a parody of PT. However, for Museum and Kouen, which is way more open and nonlinear, I got exhausted pretty quick.

Worth every penny, I found Fren! :D
:)

Every single time I think about the word "whimsy" this game comes to mind, 10/10
A very fun cute little game to lose your worries to. A lot of little places to explore even tons of hidden places. Many frens :) With 3 different game modes/areas.
most heart-touching genre-defining mindblowing elusive video games experience i have ever had
