the original version was way better in everything than the director's cut. they removed some good puzzles, expanded the story but made it worse. idk why devs are obsessed with reworking the first game. they've done it like twice already. hope they'll move on. it's still a good game. but if you can get the original, get it. it deserves to be placed among Portal and The Talos Principle.

I played the OG (not the Directors Cut) back in 2012 and put 10 hours into it. Now playing the directors cut in 2026 I managed to beat the game in less than 4 hours. Was fun, rather nostalgic and some challenging puzzles. Would recommend! Thinking I may by QUBE 2 now.
Fiddly, glitchy, unreliable. The slow reaction of the controls and blocks boils my blood. Maybe I lack the brains to get past sector 6, but the molasses game feel is absolutely not helping me think...
good
A steady 3-5 hour venture, with unique mechanics and the occassional challenging puzzle, though nothing insanely difficult, at least in the base game. An obvious Portal-derivative, which the game does not shy away from acknowledging. The story is servicable, but provides some level of tension, and compliments the atmosphere. Also ran smoothly on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop. Absolutely worth an arvo playthrough, especially at that price.
