Revolutionary fantasy basketball. Does it get any better?

My favorite of Supergiant Game's works, it's a unique RPG that builds on the great art direction and musical design the studio always brings to their games. It tells a compelling narrative centered around an ritualistic competition. It aged very well in 2025 and ran with out issues on a modern PC. One potential con would be the AI during matches, it's "too perfect". The AI does an excellent job predicting the player's actions and movement path and they react very quickly (difficulty scales up their APM). This can be a bit immersion breaking as it feels like you're playing a computer with perfect timing and reaction and not "real people".
too much yapping
Wow what a game. Was a little disappointed at first that the game wasn't the hack and slash I expect from Supergiant but I was surprised how much I like this game. The art, the storyline, and the characters are all awesome. Mechanics can be a little frustrating at times but with enough practice it's generally smooth sailing. I like the replayability aspect as well. This is my favourite Supergiant game thus far.
Probably the worst out of supergiant games
Honestly, I didn't expect to like this game, given that it was mostly a point-and-click. I bought it exclusively because it was made by Supergiant Games. The soccer mini-game sections were cool, and the story made it interesting, though not enough to warrant a second or third playthrough to find out different endings or side stories.
Amazing game; I got so attached to all the characters, and the choices you make regarding them really do feel like they matter
I can see how this game could become the most underrated of Supergiant's games. It's unique enough to where it doesn't have a natural audience looking for it. But that's exactly why I think you should give the game a go. There isn't really another game out there like this one. It's a VN with awesome characters, writing, visuals, and storytelling that is interrupted by a strange fantasy-infused soccer game. Did I have more fun playing Hades? Yeah, but like, I really appreciate this game and wish that other people did too. Give this game a try.
one of the few stories that actually changed my perception of life, loss and the ability to move on and create from the ashes. the rites gameplay is still weird af but the story is worth every second, it made me cry several times, it stirred feelings again in me replaying it after so many years. this is art, videogames can be art, developers care for their craft and pour all their love into them <3
