Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition

I completely missed out on the original 2007 classic back in the day, so I went into this game completely fresh. I am absolutely hooked. If you think this is just another generic mobile-style match-3 game, you are completely wrong. This is a full-fledged fantasy RPG wrapped inside a brilliant puzzle combat system. What elevates the combat is how your character's class spells interact with the puzzle grid. In most match-3 games, you are entirely at the mercy of lucky gem drops and random RNG. Here, your spells completely mix up and alter the layout of the board. Whether you are destroying specific gems to trigger a cascade, converting colors to fuel your next attack, or locking down enemy skulls, the spell system gives you an incredible amount of strategy and direct control that completely mitigates the usual luck-of-the-draw frustration. If you are remotely interested, just buy so they are encouraged to make more of these games.

Fun casual game for fans of the match genre. Cute characters and simple but nice story. Well designed spell and gear system.

Начнём с того, что по сути, игра Легендарная. Была у меня на кнопочном телефоне в начале 10-х, но и на ПК тоже. В то счастливое время универской жизни в общежитии был у меня товарищ, который, познакомившись с этой игрой, примерно через 12 часов осознал, что ничего почти не ел, и не пил, а также ночь не спал из-за неё, после чего собрал волю в кулак и удалил игру. Конечно сейчас, когда тебе уже 30+ того азарта и восторга нет, но после тяжёлого рабочего дня тихонько поиграть в Puzzle Quest самое оно. Хотя, если честно, хотелось бы его на телефоне и именно этот, а не 2 часть, где часть механик была вырезана. В целом переиздание приятное, поможет скоротать приятно и не напряжно не один час. Да, геймплей не блещет разнообразием, но всё же оставляет некоторую вариативность через способности и ряд других механик, вроде питомцев. В целом приятно рад, примерно таким, наверное, должен был быть Heroes of might and magic 3 HD, а не обрезанным куском...

Like the casino but with less smoke and you won't have to take on a second mortgage.
