This game has hint of tetris where you push and match 3 in a row to gain silver to unlock the next level. This is unlike other match 3 where it is a puzzle as planning is need before making decision as it can cause irreversible consequences. This game can get pretty confusing and difficult as more colours are introduced and pitfall that consume any block that fell in. This is not a speed game where you try to clear the level fast but more of a puzzle solving game. Overall it is appealing and different from normal match 3 that can be too similiar.

I was a big fan of the C64 Boulder Dash games way back in the day, and while Pushcat has figured out a way to put an interesting twist on that style of game, I think it puts emphasis on the wrong things. Most notably, there's a significant element of randomness to the majority of levels, whether it's random gem layouts or random block spawners, PushCat leans far more into its Match-3 elements rather than being a tightly-designed puzzle game. The subsequent effect is that the levels all feel very 'samey', in that they tend to ultimately boil down to shifting a large pile of gems and rocks around, pushing rocks into the gutter and matching gems so that you can pick them up. If the level features infinite spawners, the gem target is obnoxiously large and tedious. If the level features a finite-but-RNG amount of gems, the gem target tends to be underwhelming and doesn't promote careful thought-out play. It's only the handful of fixed-layout levels that are actually any good. Which is a shame because I think there are a lot of cool ideas here that I would want to see put into a really tightly-packed puzzle game, but this isn't it.
It's the thing to get, if your some kind of cute-game-loving, block-match-enjoying weirdo like me. Sufficiently lenient with the number of moves you're allowed to screw up, but no so much as to become trivial and unchallenging.
хорошая игра, убивалка времени, можно поиграть, если нечем заняться или если хотите передохнуть от всяких шутеров и стратегий
Pushcat is a great game!! The game is very addicting! It is a different kind of match 3 game because you have to plan your moves and use different strategies to win the games within levels. You get coins after you match 3 or more gems but then you have to go back and collect the coins which is easier said than done. You can play a game (cave) a few times and then realize what you need to do to beat it! There are 50 caves to beat, they are all different, some have a few gems some have hundreds of gems. There is no time limit and you can replay the cave till you win it! It's a great puzzle solving game along with a match 3 game! I love it! I recommend this game! I'd buy it again :-)
What I like about it: reminds me of Boulder Dash, except things don't kill you when they fall on you, and you can push multiple objects (not just one). What's give-or-take for me: it's a match-three. Not exactly my favorite style of puzzle, though it puts an interesting spin on the Boulder Dash-like gameplay. What I don't like: some sections of puzzles are randomized. Still, if you can snag it for cheap, I say go for it.
https://youtu.be/fIdoFEnIPJw Ever seeking silver, 'Pushcat' is a puzzle game that mixes 'Columns' and 'Boulder Dash' into the same formula and throws in a few of it's own new mechanics along the way. This turns out to be a fun and challenging mix that will challenge players.
Pushcat is a delightful puzzle game reminiscent of Boulder Dash that combines classic block-pushing mechanics with charming retro visuals and an addictive soundtrack. Developed by Zut Games, this title offers a fun and challenging experience that will captivate both casual players and puzzle lovers. The gameplay centers around navigating various levels and pushing blocks to match gems of the same color, ultimately helping the eponymous Pushcat in his quest for silver coins. As the game progresses, players encounter various obstacles, traps, and enemies that add layers of complexity and challenge to the puzzle-solving experience. One of the most appealing aspects of Pushcat is its retro aesthetic, which pays homage to the golden age of video games. The crisp pixel art and catchy 8-bit ragtime soundtrack create a nostalgic atmosphere that transports players back to the glory days of gaming. The game features over 50 procedurally generated caves, ensuring that no two playthroughs are the same and providing ample replay value. Additionally, the introduction of new elements and mechanics throughout the game keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting, preventing the experience from becoming stale or repetitive. Pushcat offers an enjoyable and satisfying experience for fans of the puzzle genre. Its simple yet addictive gameplay, charming presentation, and nostalgic atmosphere make it a worthwhile addition to any puzzle enthusiast's Steam library. In conclusion, Pushcat is a well-crafted puzzle game that successfully blends classic match-3 gameplay mechanics with retro aesthetics. With its charming visuals, catchy soundtrack, and challenging puzzles, making it an excellent choice for players seeking a fun and nostalgic gaming experience.
