Purrfect Date - Visual Novel/Dating Simulator

A cat is fine too. This is not a great game, but I still liked it. Interesting setting with cute characters. Dating is not the biggest part of the game, it's the mystery surrounding the activities on the island. Yet, it doesn't feel like there's much freedom and choosing which activity to do seems pointless. It seems short and just makes me wish there was more depth. The 'dates' with each cat are very short. Not much time to really get to know them before they are suddenly in love with you. Not a bad experience for the first playthrough, at least. It's highly unlikely that you'll get the 'best' ending on one playthough, mess up once and you're out of luck. Still, you are encouraged to make every possible choice to raise your completion percentage and for achievements. Replaying is a big pain due to lack of features that you'd find in other visual novels. I really don't want to mash my spacebar anymore. No controller support, 1 save file with autosave, no chapter select, no skip feature,text moves too slow, no minigames. Overall, this is a decent visual novel with a lot of unrealized potential. This could have been better & done in a better way. The developer had said that they'd make updates, yet the game has been abandoned.

[h1] Крайне неоптимизированная игра на Unity и без русского перевода [/h1] Мало того, что при старте показывает настройки Unity, так ещё в самой игре максимум 50 кадров. Хотя чему там тормозить непонятно - вся игра двумерная рисованная. Притом рисованная довольно криво, как будто у автора игры линейки не было. Персонажи тоже нарисованы довольно топорно. Так что даже при взгляде на визуальную составляющую уже и дальше играть не хотелось.

Eso sí: si no te gustan las novelas visuales, aquí no te van a convertir “a la fuerza”. Esto es lectura, elección y consecuencias, con una comunidad que (al menos en el momento) se siente como una isla: 1 jugador activo, tú y tus pensamientos. Aun así, con 156 recomendaciones totales, queda claro que su público existe… y probablemente tiene fotos de gatos enmarcadas con orgullo. I hate this game so much please bleach my brain

Good balance of fun, light-hearted elements and darker, more mysterious storytelling. Characters were generally very likeable and the art was pretty good, especially some of the backgrounds. Really needs a proper skip function though; I ended up using AutoHotkey to mash my space bar to get through repeat playthroughs.

Almost any game that involves cats is something I'd try out. The game has more than just dating cats- which I'm sure turns a lot of people off from trying it, I get it. Nothing "adult" occurs if that helps ease your mind at all. But the story gets dark and you have to solve something mysterious so it is worthwhile trying this VN. Achievement Hunters: You DO have to successfully date the cats to get 100% completion and especially ACHIEVEMENT HUNTERS BEWARE you will have to read every single line written by the devs to get 100% complete. AND there is no "Skip text function" so it gets finicky... Also it seems many people get stuck at missing 1 line of text (99.3% complete) including myself and ended up playing far far longer than I wanted to. Worst thing was: it was a line of text relating to a choice I already made earlier.

Super cute game, the relationship you develop with the cats is just pure seratonin. You can definitely see how much love was put into the game. There's only a con: to me it was worth replaying so many times to get the 100% achievement (you have to see every possible scene in the game), but it would've been much faster and A LOT less tiring if they added a skip button.

Unique dating sim game. Cool visual novel style with british/dark humor and a pinch of bizarre. The lines are well written and fitting the cats.

Completely middle tier. It is fairly boring but not boring enough to abandon mid way. Cannot justify £7 for it
