Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best AU #72, worst BR #86 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Aug 26 → 6.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
What is this game?
Psychonauts 2 is the immediate followup to Psychonauts - following our main protagonist Razputin as he explores people's minds, with the goal of finding out the mysteries surrounding the villain Maligula's return.
Price/replay value
Horrible - Bad - Decent - Good - Amazing
Achievement hunting
Massively improving upon the first game by only having 2 missables (both very easy to get). The rest are mostly collectible/story based, with a few fighting ones sprinkled throughout. None overtly difficult.
Pros/cons
Pros

Incredibly amusing writing
Massively improves on the 1st game's gameplay
Charming cast of characters
Cons

Quite pricy without a sale (12 vs 60 bucks)
Less emotional impact than the 1st game
Invisible walls got annoying

Overall opinion
I want to preface this by saying I absolutely loved this game. The first was a blast but this blows it out of the water mechanically, graphically, and replay wise. The map is considerably less open, yet offers a lot more branching paths, the characters are still great, and the overarching narrative was still solid. I will say the first game had a really strong creepy tone to it (especially in the latter 3rd), and the asylum in that one had especially good writing. Though I found the backstories less dark, I still enjoyed the overall portrayal of different characters and how their actions all had unintended consequences (mostly). I don't really want to spoil anything so I'd recommend trying it for yourself.
tldr;
1st game but crispier.
Should you buy it?
Wait for a sale. I love this game but 60 bucks still seems quite steep imo.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Double fine really knows how to make a fun game. They've always been able to fuse humor and storytelling with great game design without it ever feeling forced. I played the original Psychonauts back in the day, and only just now got around to playing the sequel. Made for a fun Spring Break. Will replay Brutal Legend soon and, I've got Keeper waiting in the wings. Have fun!!
wow what can i say about this game? Well for one its beyond fun! not too easy and not too hard. The platforming is done very very well. Dont even get me started on the story! What are ya waiting for give this game a try!
This is definitely a masterpiece, and I love it. I would give it a 5/5. I really love the art style, and the map is huge, with so many things to explore. Most of the hidden items are noticeable enough that, as long as you look carefully, you will not miss them. For a platforming game, the gameplay has a good amount of variety, so it never feels too repetitive or monotonous. The story progresses in a very natural way, the fast travel points are placed reasonably, and the jumping feels smooth and satisfying. One thing worth mentioning is that there is one chapter where the colors are extremely bright and intense, which may feel uncomfortable during long play sessions, so I just wanted to give a small warning in advance. Overall, I think that if you do not get motion sickness from 3D games, and you enjoy platformers and collection marathon games, I would absolutely recommend this one. The main story feels complete, and after finishing the game, you can return to each chapter to collect any items you missed.
Closest thing to a modern big-budget PlayStation 2 game
Whimsical brainy fun with a killer soundtrack and gorgeous visuals.
Psychonauts 2 is one of those games that just oozes personality. The art style is bold, weird, and instantly memorable, honestly feels like it’ll age better than most modern games and still look great years from now. It easily stands alongside platformers like Astro Bot, It Takes Two, and Split Fiction. The world Double Fine created is super imaginative, with each level diving into a different mind in really creative ways. Writing and humor are a big highlight too, consistently funny, a little offbeat, and surprisingly smart. Gameplay is solid. Platforming feels tight and responsive, no complaints there. My only real issue is the ability swapping, it gets annoying having to constantly pull up the skill wheel, which kind of breaks the flow. Overall, it’s a classic. Not perfect, but the art direction and creativity alone make it something special. While you can gain a tidbit of lore from the first game, it's also perfectly fine to start here.
I genuinely wasn't expecting the game to be anywhere near the original, but now I am having a hard time choosing which one is better. This game is a masterpiece. In the week since I bought it, it has become my third most played game (behind the original Psychonauts), and it is very rare for me to put that many hours into a game. They took Psychonauts 1 and made the combat and movement feel even better, even though the original already had very fun movement. The story is better than the original in my opinion, and the characters are fun and memorable. They haven't lost the style of the original game either, I was taking screenshots every new area I went to. So much stuff to collect, I love how they do the figments and vaults. There is always a goal, even after finishing the story. I think this is the only big game I have ever done a 100% on (Thanks to the Christmas achievement on the original, that isn't true for the first.) None of the achievements are time-bound either, which is nice. I actually don't have many problems with it. I wish we could have seen more of the characters from the original, it is sad that there is barely even a reference of them. I also felt like the minds were way too small during the first half of my playthrough. I was fully expecting to leave the game knowing for sure that the original was better, but the second half picked up and the minds got really good. I am sad to finish the games, but I am also happy to actually do something with my life other than the 70 hours I have spent binging both of the games, lol. 100%, 10/10, best game ever, play it....
游戏很挑人。解密通关加一点点打斗。设定很有趣,但是玩起来没意思,可能适合小朋友一些。
